If that's the case I'd carefully run a singleton for a month and then get 4 tires and an alignment.

Ok, so if I can get the spare down, just rock that for a while till I can get a full set, on full size spares, thats good to go correct?

Yeah. Is your full size spare also a procomp like your other 4?

LTb1ow 06-21-2012 01:16 PM

Nope, its a bridgestone of sorts, I am praying its a 33, but, with my luck today, its not gonna be.

Thoughts on this guy? Not many choices for an E rated tire this size thats not like 290 a pop like the goodyears.

i always liked the way those tires look in big sizes.... idk why.

Yea, so far the reviews are pretty good and a 55k mileage warrenty seems pretty legit.

LS1ow 06-21-2012 02:41 PM

not like your gunna really off road the truck at all. i love for dem dere tirez

LTb1ow 06-21-2012 02:42 PM

I know, hence the AT3s versus the STT stuff. And its nearly impossible to find a "off road" tire with a E load rating.

I think your 33's are more of a 305/65 because they looked wider than my 295/75 tires but mine measure out closer to 34". You could probably fit 35's if you wanted to and the Hummer tires are 315/70/17 I think so you might find a better deal on that size.

LTb1ow 06-23-2012 11:20 AM

I am gonna stick with a 285/70-17 tire for now, just gotta figure out what brand to get.

Not to happy to spend ~270 a tire for the good years but IDK

I kept scanning CL until I found some 295/75/16 BFG's for sale. I think I paid $700 for all 4 and they had less than 500 miles on them.

Those AT3s are nice, I believe Mike the Badmod has them on his truck.

To save a little more you should look at the Mastercraft Courser AXTs as well. They come in a 285/70/17 range E.

Just to update, got a set of AT3s on the truck, looks to be a little taller and thinner than the procomps but after getting all the procomps off... they were shot to hell. All of em had weird bulges going, and the front wheel bearing was, shall we say, gone.
