motor and trans are officially in the car as of today. put the heads and intake on to see what kind of cowl hood i would need with the new set of motor mounts i had installed. looks like i shouldnt need too big of a hood.

Yea was planning on getting one anyway I just wanted to make sure I got one that would work with this intake. Still have not figured what color I want to paint her.

you should do a custom hood with just a small bulge like the grand nats. even though it would be forward more on your car.

Originally I wanted to do a 96-97 camaro ss hood scoop on the car

Isn't that intake gonna be waaaay overkill?

NastyEllEssWon 05-14-2013 01:09 PM

Yeah, that was my thought when I saw the picture, How many RPM you plan on spinning with that?

Nice Monte! Now I've got a stupid question. I've ditched plans to go SBC in favor of going LSx for my own car. Figure if I'm keeping this one, might as well go all out and go LSx the first time around. Anyway, the stupid question. What motor mounts are those? They look like plates that bolt directly to the standard SBC clamshell mounts. Where did you get them, and would they work in a third gen F body?

they are actually lsx swap mounts made for an s10 that i got from transdapt. they come with frame and engine side mounts. they might work on a third gen. i had to drill new holes in my engine crossmember to get it seated where i wanted.

Not yet. Have not had much time to mess with it. I'll try to get updates this weekend.
