We got about 6". I plowed the driveway and used the snow blower on the sidewalks and patio. Everything left behind seems to be melting pretty quickly.

MyFirstZ 02-09-2013 10:45 AM

**** snow

JL8Jeff 02-09-2013 10:46 AM

Yeah, about 6" and not even worth it to put gas in the snowblower. It was easy to shovel. The wind is a bit of a pain but we got off easy compared to CT.

That would imply that it was removed last year.:kneeslap:

Screw that, I own a snow blower for a reason. I did 4 houses in the time it would take me to shovel just my driveway. Always good to buy some neighbor goodwill.

Roads were really bad last night. I was at work driving in it. One of co workers jackknifed his truck and messed the truck up real bad. At least he's OK. We should not have been working last night. It was way too nasty out

Never did put gas in it last year and the year before I ran it out during the last snow storm.

I just put it away at the end of the season and pull it out at the start of the next.

287 was damn near flawless around 8pm. Some townships up here did a bangup job on the streets as well. I had to do about 150 miles yesterday and the 3pm slush on the parkway was the only crappy part. Otherwise, I had zero problems yesterday and last night. Then again, I don't know what, when or where you were. Sorry for your bad luck.

I heard Long Island got roughly 3ft...?

MyFirstZ 02-09-2013 01:56 PM

Yeah 287 was alright up until the split just north of you to mahwah.

Watched a car try and pull over in my rear view and go nose first into the wall

and then a pick up that flashed me so I would move over spun off the road into the grass infront of me

I forgot to measure the snow beforehand, since our yard and everything was white prior to this. I'd say maybe 2" yesterday, and 7ish inches overnight.

Sold my snowblower and plow....a good workout to shovel but i may buy a plow for the atv....$

Lt1_8U 02-09-2013 05:05 PM

Around the Wayne area wasn't too bad. We got lucky with it being so light and fluffy for the second half of it. Could have been a lot worse, only did like 18 hours of plowing.

The_Bishop 02-09-2013 05:23 PM

Was at work for 36 hours, shoveling out the front of the firehouse and hydrants all night. Then I got to come home and dig out here.

donnj 02-09-2013 05:58 PM

All the areas of the yard that get sun, are clear now. Rest will melt in the rain tomorrow and get the salt off my truck
