Its in the range but that doesn't mean its particularly safe. Too much tire, too little wheel? |
Considering the rest of the car, you'll be fine.
|
Meaning what.
|
You'll be fine with too wide of a tire?

DOT approval has nothing to do with application. Snow tires are DOT approved and work fine as intended but are absolutely terrible on a 90* day. |

When I had my 91 RS I drove around on Hoosier QTP's for about 2 years. They aren't as terrible as you would think. Certainly nothing to drive in a down pour but damp roads were fine.
|
I dd my hoosier qtp. Had police behind me and nothing happened, when my opti blew stateys pulled behind me and checked my car over and said nothing. They handle pretty good for cheater slicks even in the rain
The mickeys tread width is 10.8 and a stock abs wheel is 8 so 1.4 overhang on each side. Seems like alot to me but mickey says it should be fine then it must be |
Alot of my friends dont even bat an eye to drive there slicks on the road

Id use a radial, but on flip side guys go faster in the 1/4 and dont have any problem.
|
Your first choice (M&H Radial) I think would be your best bet for what you want out of a tire.
