thanks for the update. I had put in for a day off from work and got it. Now that it has been moved to the following weekend, I wont need to take a vacation day since I am already off.

I did not get tickets yet as I was waiting for a few days ahead of time to check the weather forecast...

...which brings me to my question.. what is the deal with the tickets? I understand order them online.. but if I wanted to wait to ensure it wont be a rainout, I stand the chance of not getting my ticket in the mail in time for the event. Can anyone 100% confirm tickets will be available at the gate (spectator obviously) or should I just buy one online and roll the dice ?

I know if they rain out they will put it towards a future event they mention multiple times.

I emailed them. Seems you don't get a ticket just paypal confirmation which serves as such. Odd but saves printing costs I guess. So you can wait if you want.

Camping or did ya get a hotel? Going up the night before would really be easier for me. I could shoot up the northeast extension right from work.

We are doing a hotel, believe there is one right across the street not sure the name though. Waiting on one of the guys we are going out to figure out which one in definitely

Looking at google maps there is a Best Western a short drive away that could work. The place right outside the track is showing no availability. BEst Western, Best Western Inn at Blakeslee-Pocono, 107 Parkside Ave, Blakeslee, PA 18610, 7 minute drive to the track per Google Maps, showing 119+tax for the night and availability.

If anyone else wants in on the hotel idea post up.

Getting a little nervous with this snow

We have a week to find out. Right now it looks like it will be heavy snow/rain and warm enough during the days to clear/dry up. Hopefully it stays more on the rain side of the temperature band. That being said, I am going to forgo the hotel and just cruise up the morning of the event.

So who's meeting, what time, and where? Who wants to carpool?

according to the village at Pocono right across the street they have rooms available. we are getting the one bedroom villa for 4 people.
