A trans swap makes for a more fun ride, but it's a bit of a challenge getting all the parts together. Could always move forward with other plans, and do a torque converter/shift kit if the transmission is shifting fine.

Don't lower it.
Just ditch the god awful stock wheels and fat tire look. |

I have no desire to drive automatics any more than I have to. I'm looking to get a stick midsize 2wd worktruck when I eventually replace mine. I'd only driven stick periodically but after my Colorado I legitimately enjoyed driving it and it was slow as a dog. I'm not a drag racer so I have no need for an auto. |
IMO, find a car with a t56 already as a donor. like one with body damage or a crappy motor. Take the parts you need, sell of the rest. That's the cheapest way to get a t56 and all the needed parts.

Eh, its not a complete swap so its a meh price. Doesn't even come with clutch/flywheel.
I did buy my 4 bolt lt1 block from him for my 385 with no issues or complaints. Good dude. |
Needs 315s on the back.

Update:
!frontplate Front bumper repainted Still need ideas on what wheels to get. My tires are pretty old despite a lack of UV damage and use, so this may be sooner than anticipated. Not locked into OEM wheels. 17" is my first preference but would do 18 if a great deal came along in something that looked good. Also thoughts on smoked vs clear corners/markers? https://www.ebay.com/itm/1993-2002-C...sid=m570.l1313 |
