The Speedster is a mid engined car based off the Lotus Elise.

The Sky and Opel counterpart, as well as the Solstice are based off Kappa.

I like it, car looks good. 8)
I too saw the family resemblence to the Opel Speedster right away though yes they are obviously different platforms.

is it gonna be a 5 or 6 spd? and i think it would look better w/ a dual outlet exhaust.
