Just started doing High Intensity Training work outs. Full body work outs 3 times a week, 3 sets of 8-12. Just started my 3rd week of working out and have lost some fat and im now 180. Havent been 180 since track season in high school. Stresses form and intensity, i feel like i accomplish so much more in my workouts. Haven't started taking my protein again so ill prob start that soon too. Great book with alot of information in it too. Mostly aimed as a bodybuilding book but is a great lifting book too

didnt know it wasnt ment to be shaken, I shook it ever since I started using it...........

well now that im informed that it was my fault.... lol
I will never use a bottle again.

madness410 07-27-2009 11:13 PM

i think if you shake it also it loses its potency. i could be wrong. but it says on all the bottles dont shake haha..i just use a spoon and a cup

FIcamaroRE92 07-28-2009 10:12 AM

ohh I prolly didnt read the fine print lol..........

LTb1ow 07-28-2009 10:14 AM

So what are some different work outs I could do instead of just 4 x 10 stuff. I would love to do a pyramid type workout, but again, lift alone, can't do it safely.

FIcamaroRE92 07-28-2009 10:18 AM

woking out at a gym for free is FTW.

LTb1ow 07-28-2009 10:19 AM

Bah, people are ftl.

I really should though.

FIcamaroRE92 07-28-2009 10:21 AM

whats your setup at home???

LTb1ow 07-28-2009 10:24 AM

Bench, free weights, and a pull up/dip bar setup. Rowing machine. More free weights. And, a way to loud stereo for my room. :)

FIcamaroRE92 07-28-2009 10:27 AM

didnt you say a while back you were looking at a squat rack??????????

LTb1ow 07-28-2009 10:28 AM

Looking at yes, but decided not to as I am going to college in the fall. So no real need to buy more equipment when I have access to a real gym soon.

fire95bird 07-28-2009 11:34 AM

Super sets?

LTb1ow 07-31-2009 03:36 PM

How much does a standard, non Olympic bar weigh?

~20 lbs?

25 I believe.

LTb1ow 07-31-2009 03:44 PM

Ok cool cool.

Any one wanna trade two 50lb plates for 4 25lb plates? :)

WildBillyT 07-31-2009 03:57 PM

I will search and see if I have any left over standard stuff. If I do, it's yours.

LTb1ow 07-31-2009 03:58 PM

Awesome!

Although, the bar is kinda, bending... kinda worries me, kinda makes me feel like I can lift a lot.. ;)

Buy a piece of pipe to "sleeve" the center? Not sure how much that would help though.

LTb1ow 07-31-2009 04:03 PM

I was going to figure out to a rough estimate how much weight I can throw on it, and how long I can leave it on there until permanent damage occurs.

Engineering classes put to good use. :)

madness410 08-01-2009 02:05 AM

ive recently been doing some drop sets for some of my workouts.

take lateral raises for shoulders for example...i would do as many as i can with 30's...then once my form starts suffering...drop them and start doing the 20's immediately...do the same..drop those do 10's..after that i do sets with just my arms lol. it burns so bad. i only do that for my last set on that exercise. thats something thats easy to try.

LTb1ow 08-02-2009 12:57 PM

More weight on every exercise is owning me this morning.

No hurts/pains yet though, so wootz.

madness410 08-02-2009 01:58 PM

not bad not bad. keep it up. make sure you get some good protein in also.

vasocharge by scivation sucks btw...worst N.O. ive ever had..

LTb1ow 08-02-2009 02:03 PM

I heard it was good stuff?

I plan on switching back to SP250 if I don't decide to just do creatine.

And I tweaked my shoulder on my last set of bench... figures.

madness410 08-03-2009 12:28 PM

nah vasocharge sucks. the reason why i got it is because i bought some post workout stuff from scivation and it came with it...so pretty much i got to try it out for free.

be careful with that creatine..ive heard stories of people taking the worst craps of their lives when they first start taking it
