Ended up crawling across a few links for Opeth and Turisas.

Like em both now so stil crawling across YouTube for both bands.

Opeth's new album is incredible.
Check out Turisis' Myspace page. In the video section partway down the page on the right, there's a wicked cover of Slayer's Reign in Blood.
If you really like Turisas also try bands like TYR, Korpiklani, and Amon Amarth

Nope. I dig that cd.

My musical tastes run all over the place. My iPod on random went from Type O Neg to Sinatra to Ramones to John Lee Hooker yesterday afternoon.

FWIW, I'm not sure that you should admit to that.

Gotta check out the new one, do you have any of their older stuff? Heard Deliverance years ago, forgot about them, DL'ed a torrent one day and the music is awesome.

Since Im getting more into Opeth I've just been crawling YouTube with the posted videos / songs. I like the newer songs, he does a better job of singing than growling, so the slower stuff is more appealing to me. Same with the older songs - slower songs sound better.

I love Turisas. Their concerts must be a blast to see. Watching the crowd would be as much fun as the band.

Check out the Blackwater Park album... might not appeal since it has a lot of growling, but not as much (IMO) as Deliverance, which from a musical standpoint is an awesome listen. There is a video on youtube somewhere of clips from the movie 300 put to "The Funeral Portrait".

Badlands-Last Time

BigAls87Z28 07-10-2008 08:00 AM

Stars- Hum
Its the new Caddy song. I heard it on the radio the other day and kept asking myself where haveI heard it before. Then I pictured Kate Walsh behind a steering wheel, and her pressing the gas pedal...and it hit me...new CTS commercial.
Overall a good song.
