98 TA since Feb 06, had a 95 when I joined here, my 2nd 95 was the year before and I owned a 93 back in 93 (new) until 95...had an 86 ROC for my fist F-body and an 82 Z28 in 97...both 305 autos (yuk). in between the 93 abd the 95, I had 6 Stangs...

I know that wasn't the question, but I felt like sharing, it brought back fond (and not so fond) memories of sports cars of days past:mrgreen:

blown69rat 09-12-2006 04:32 PM

I could've voted first gen since the subframe is interchangable, but I voted where I should've..."none of the above"

Ian 09-12-2006 09:12 PM

I voted second gen even though i dont have an F-body. oops. my first car was a 76 camaro though.

Currently have a 4th gen but may be interested in owning a 3rd gen someday (in addition to my 4th gen). Anyone know where I can find a GTA for a good price?

It was fun at first, but after having to do a optispark, headers, wires, plugs, ETC, ETC, ETC...it got old fast. Plugs took forever on the Camaro, when I can do em in the Chevelle in about 20 mins. They are fun cars, but just not my thing. I am happy I did it, maybe Ill do it again, but Ill choose a 1st or 2nd gen before another 4th.

That is because you are not afraid to have a car where not everything is a simple bolt-on that some numbnuts wrote up in a magazine!

Rafterman 01-22-2007 06:33 PM

I've got a second gen and my dads got a first. I like the looks the best on 2nd gen with the nicely colored birds but deff 1st gen for muscle look and power. oh and i love the 99 special edition!!

Written up in a magazine? They actually do that? I heard of something kind of like that once...I believe it was called directions. Do these things exist?

nj85z28 01-22-2007 07:56 PM

That is because you didn't buy the right 4th gen.. 98-02 LS1!!!:) Even though out of all the 11 4th gens i owned 6 of them were LT1's and im no mechanic by any means but didnt mind the tight cramped quarters or the LT1. Did most of the work myself plugs, wires, alt waterpump, opti etc

I have done all the work myself on all that I own, I just got tired of the car. Sorry, I couldnt afford an LS1 car, I was fresh out of HS and an LT1 was the only car I could afford, besides, I had the Chevelle if i wanted a fast car.

best of both 01-23-2007 10:21 AM
