Even though you can't see the date in those pics, based on the front page I can confirm that that is today's Courier-Post. We have a copy here at work....

Looking good Eric!

Turbo is installed, doing oil lines and downpipe tomorrow. only thing left to do is intercooler piping, either tomorrow, fri, or sat, depends on when i pickup the materials.

Downpipe is in, all gaskets, wastegate, all are in. I'm currently doing the oil lines. once this is done, final step is welding to my exhaust and doing the intercooler piping !! w00t

Eric I hope that radiator bracket is temporary.

prob gonna be there awhile, it's fine, everythings cool. i copied jason's method lol hes had no radiator problems. anyway its just enough room to fit my turbo in there and im not cutting up my engine bay to stand it streight up forward or for a new one unless im makin big numbers and cubes, in future i will. lol

camaro2you 01-17-2008 08:30 PM

Im not talking fucntion wise im talking the way it looks like getting a piece of stainless bent for it so it doesn't look rigged.

GrandmasterCow 01-17-2008 08:33 PM

hahahaha ohhh lol um yeah i prob will i was gonna use the one from the fipk kits use but then i thought well they push it forward to stock location so i can't, il prob make one from some thick aluminum and polish it or somethin. but for now it works fine lol. anyway, gives a clear look at the snail awaiting below

BarneyMobile 01-17-2008 10:05 PM

I see you made some progress. I gotta come back down to check it out.

GrandmasterCow 01-18-2008 10:17 PM

Both oils lines on, car starts and runs perfectly, spools nicely, just don't have intercooler piping on yet and it was just dumped from the downpipe, igatta do the IC piping and also hoook up the exhaust and ill get a vid once i at least do the exhaust so you can actually hear the turbo whooooooooo

jerseydevil01z28 01-20-2008 01:33 AM

damn nice man........

Theres the entire oil side, feed and drain completed, exhaust is all wrapped (i have to get special wrapping for the spark plugs, but even the PS lines are wrapped seperately)

Literally, only two things left are custom fab the intercooler piping and work on the tune. :w00t:

If you're interested, I have a billet radiator hold down shroud that would work perfectly for you. It has a couple of scratches that might buff out, but it should work for what you need. $45 and it's yours. The build looks good so far.

thanks man, do you have pics? I was going to use one from my K&N FIPK but it held the radiator in the stock location, which won't work.

JL8Jeff 01-21-2008 06:20 PM

Here's what it looks like(this isn't my car). But I think it hold the radiator in the stock position as well. You might be able to redrill some holes to pull it forward. How far forward did you have to pull your radiator/condensor? I can do a trial fit if you want to see if will work pulled forward.

thanks man, yeah take a look, i mean i do have the polished shroud from the FIPK but i'd like to see what your looks like. I'll have to see how far but pretty much i have no a/c or fans in the car right now and i pulled it as far forward as i can.

HaHa Thanks bro, yeah it's very VERY close and especially when you see it in person, you should see the mess of piping on drivers side all around the power steering lines. people have issues with boiling their PS fluid and melting driver's side motor mount, thats why prob over summer i'm gonna goto solid mounts.

thanks man, well i have the stock tune i'm adjusting for the new injectors and i'm going to make the appropriate adjustments for speed-density and for the boost, but i'm going to write the tune just enough to drive around, i'm going to get it dyno tuned once it's fully finished.

JerzLT1 01-22-2008 01:35 PM

so you have no fans in the car?
