I made my first step into weight reduction....by accident.

I orded a new rad for the Caprice since the one is leaking. So Koll and I took it out and realized that what I pulled out looked ot be a copper with metal side tanks, while the one going in is aluminum with plastic side tanks...a much lighter radiator.
Id say almost 20 lbs off the front end.

copper-brass radiators are worth a decent chunk of change at the scrapyard too...

Fill the tires with helium..... and fill the trunk and passenger compartment with helium balloons.

Lighter = better!

The Helium will most likely leak out from the tires within a few weeks, and you would have to constantly be putting air in them.

took out the rear seats today and let me say there was over 5 lbs of dirt in there! haha. the rear seats only weighed about 20 pounds tops so i decided to leave them in :-(
