He's saying even given the best circumstances, the mods to the stang won't cut off more than .5 sec, and that the guy you are racing may not be the perfect driver that monmouthyantz speaks of, so in reality nobody knows.

Camvill 09-16-2008 04:10 PM

o gotcha

Njgunslinger 09-17-2008 07:31 AM

So what's the deal, this race ever going to happen, I'm sitting at the end of my chair here with anticipation... :)

bad64chevelle 09-17-2008 11:43 AM

I highly doubt it, the kid never showed up to Atco to race "The Hammer" in his Lightning.

Njgunslinger 09-17-2008 12:26 PM

kewl, have fun with that and let us know how u made out!!

PS: a miss? hmm is your check engine light blinking?

Camvill 09-21-2008 07:52 PM

did my spark plugs, still has a miss and there is a like sparking noise coming from the right front tire im assuming the o2 sensor wire melted from the longtubes on and i definetly feel a loss of power. Gotta check this out when i get time.

98tadriver 09-21-2008 08:54 PM

first thing you do, to eliminate the costly guessing game is----- SCAN IT! lol. An OBD II scan tool is your friend. your problem could be a number of things. based on my experiences, my guess would be a bad coil pack. that would explain the loss of power and the misfire. but scan it first!!

sparking like arching? could have torn an ignition wire, improper install, or a few other things. i would find out which is missing right away. pull wires off individually with it running, try reinstalling the wires on the plugs to ensure proper connection.

Since it's dark out, why not just start the car and look around the engine bay carefully? Any plug wires that are ripped and shorting out will most likely be easily visible due to the spark.

I had a problem with my one taylor wire burnig on the LTs. So i have it wrapped in aluminum foil hasnt casued my a problem yet. But make sure none of the wires are resting against the headers

Camvill 09-23-2008 11:01 AM

spark plug wire was like turned too much i fixed it now for a tune when i get some money

98tadriver 09-25-2008 11:45 AM

kewl. run it before the tune to see how much of a difference that tune makes

Camvill 11-01-2008 12:05 PM

98tadriver 11-01-2008 05:08 PM

Camvill 11-02-2008 11:23 AM

this board does not do street racing.

98tadriver 11-02-2008 02:25 PM
