meh i listed more arguments on the first page that actually hold water. Trenton has more history than all of NJ put together....and thats only a small part of Mercer.

Mercer pwns all.

Apline was actually named by Forbes as being the most expensive town in the USA to live in, beating out areas like Beverly Hills. But other than the high taxes, Bergen Co is FTW.

You know that the entire county of Monmouth is a National Park because of all the battles here?
We have Rumson, Deal, Spring Lake
Birthplace of the Boss, Jon Bon Jovi, and Danny DeVito
And that place everyone comes to, the Shore, which still makes us #1.
No one packs up the car and clogs up the parkway to go see the amazing sites of Bergen county.
I dont see people packing up for vacations with the kids, getting hotel rooms in trendy Treton

NastyEllEssWon 10-25-2009 11:40 AM

Princeton University. I dont see any kids across america studying for years to try to get into Monmouth U.

Come on, "jersey shore" is about the worst place you can take your family, beach-wise speaking. It's probably the dirtiest place I have ever been to, excluding Brooklyn but that's not even in NJ. In addtion they want you to PAY to get on the beach  Hell, south FL beaches don't charge anything, Daytona Beach is free, Panama City beach is free, Myrtle Beach has free access too; in addition to that, all that those places are cleaner and just have a better vibe. There's nothing worse then jersey shore. Imo, of course.

Jon Bon Jovi was born in Perth Amboy and grew up in Sayreville. Middlesex Co. And don't screw with Mercer guys about war history. They have Washington's Crossing.

BonzoHansen 10-26-2009 05:05 PM

The Battle of Monmouth was a major turning point in the war, IIRC. Molly Pitcher's well is right off 522 & Wemrock Road in Freehold, if the stories are true. Washington had a drink or an enema or a meeting at the Pub on the corner of 522 & 527 in Englishtown. Monmouth takes no back seat to Mercer. Just no one knows it.

Monmouth County is nicer than a lot of NJ

you do know that there are other beaches then just Seaside or Wildwood, right?
Long Branch around 7 Presidents park and Pier Village is great.
Ocean Grove is amazingly beautiful place to go to the beach
Thats just two beaches in Monmouth County, not to mention the thousand beaches up and down the shore. Sandy Hook? Thats like saying Russia is full of bone head, douche bag commies that glow in the dark.
And I know you dont glow in the dark Vitals...

Knipps 10-26-2009 06:52 PM

That's why he's not in Russia anymore.

Yea, I know about other beaches. Unfortunately, I have been to most of them in the past. They all sucked equally. Either they are dirty STD ridden places or life around them shuts down at 10pm. I remember when I went to LBI, those were the 3 most boring days of my life. I considered sticking a fork in my eye, just for pure entertainment; however, I decided against it, and had to bare excruciating boredom.

I think you are just a terribly negative, dull, and other wise pessimistic person.
What does make the almighty Tsar happy?

Pessimistic - no. Realistic - yes. I'm not your parent, so I don't sugar coat things. I'm very picky about what I like, and very specific about what I dislike. That's all, there's no secret.

What makes me happy? I like aviation, and intelligent people.
