I've heard the same, and it seems that JerzLT1 was greatful to him for the offer to help get the manifold fixed.

HOWEVER, IMO, Lloyd should have NEVER sent a manifold out to get worked over by someone else without letting the customer know first. AND he should have NEVER sent it to that asshat. If Bret Bauer has been getting banned as a sponsor for terrible customer service and other complaints from places like LS1Tech and all since '04, you'd think other shops would steer clear of farming work out to them.

Just to be fair, Bret does some great work, but he can come across as a know it all. A lot of guys don't agree with him and so he gets banned etc...

yes and bret used to do the cams for lloyds packages. its not like he is a random stranger.

what work have you had done by Bret? he does great work because he speced your cam for Lloyd back in the day? he actually got banned for his poor customer service and screwing over other SPONSORS by not completing their work in a timely manner and screwing a lot of them over. Him being an ******* has a small part in him getting banned

i can live with the stories of the elongated bolt hole being needed, and i can live with the stories of the inside holes not being drilled because they arent used.

what i cant live with is returning a BRAND NEW MANIFOLD in a condition that appears as if it has been dropped, knicked and scratched and dinged and CRACKED

now they want to say all it needed was to be welded and bead blasted....well, honestly, they should have done that before ever even considering the job finished.

as for all the people on tech saying "its a custom part and not designed that way and things dont look perfect but it wont affect performance".... i dont see any of them offering to buy it and use it themselves...

i feel the same way for the most part. it should have never been returned cracked.

im done with it, the words is out. if i stopped 10 people from getting ****** service from him then it was worth it
