hope you are talking about pizza delivery drivers and not waiters/waitresses.

im not quite sure why this thread is still going on. to the OP, why not just come to the quick conclusion that the driver is an idiot, go back into your house take the 20 seconds it takes to find 2 single dollar bills, 8 quaters, 20 dimes, whatever, or better yet just leave her with the 2 dollar tip. save the driver the time, enjoy your pizza faster, and not post on a forum about your negative dining experience.

stiffing pizza delivery guys isnt smart, especially when they just delivered to YOUR house, and now know where YOU live...for future reference.

tip is not guaranteed to anyone. waiter/waitress or delivery. its a pat on the back for meeting or exceeding my expectations.

i didnt have anything else smaller than a 20 besides the 2 dollar bills. my change goes into a big jug for son and im not taking from him to give someone a tip thats insulting me by not taking my money. again...i couldve left her with just the 2 dollar tip but after refusing my tip i showed her what its like to be greedy and act like she was owed it.

it would be kinda dumb for the driver to retaliate against my house. especially since i know what kind of car they have, where they work and would be really easy to send the police their way for questioning...which doesnt look good to a job at all.

second...she didnt 'refuse' your tip she was just too idiotic to know that 2 dollar bills existed. you still could have saved the time by just throwing the 20 at her, taking your meal, and closing your door. im not quite sure how the driver expressed the fact that she acted like she was owed it, she just seemed ignorant to believe 2 dollar bills existed. and so what if she even did, you learn a new thing everyday.

third...im sorry i dont look into your threads on a hourly basis but it was bold in my new posts category toward the top of the page meaning it has unread posts.

fourth...it wouldnt be dumb for a driver to retaliate at all. you wasted her time maybe she should give you a taste of your own medicine. im not saying burn your house down, but a carton of eggs on sale at quick check may be the equivalent of what the pizza place gives their drivers from the delivery charge, or a bag of dog crap smeared on your door handle is free. not quite sure what the police could do...

im well aware of how much they DONT make. not my fault. either seek a job that doesnt rely on the GENEROSITY of others or maybe work a bit harder to make sure they truly please the customer in order to EARN that tip. its not AUTOMATIC.

she called her boss, refused the tip and stood there refusing to give my food until i gave her what she thought was legal tender. upon doing that i gave her the twenty, took my food and asked for exact change back and sent her on her way.

i wasted her time by ordering from her establishment which entails her to have a paying job??? wow i wish someone would waste my time like that.

tossing eggs, poop or whatever have you is at the very least criminal mischief. knowing that was the only person in my area that has a problem with me would be the person i had a scuffle with earlier in the day would lead me to tell the police who i thought it was....especially if my house was the only house on the block that was trespassed against.


either way you can tell what type of person you are if the first thing you would think of is to destroy someone elses property because they ''wasted your time.''

first...you can work as hard as you want as a server or drive as fast as you can as a delivery driver to satisfy the customer and ignorant people such as yourself wont tip over something stupid, in this case, the fact that the girl didnt know two dollar bills existed.

second... this in no way shape or form qualifies for refusing a tip, it just shows that she wasnt aware of 2 dollar bills. there still at this point is no reason to not give her the 20 and walk away and save everyone elses time. she didnt say, oh no sir, 2 dollar bills dont exist, but please make my delivery out to your house not worth any of my time by me giving you exact change back. see now if you wrote that that would be more believable to me.

fourth...no you wasted her time not by ordering, by being a smartass and asking for exact change, having her call a supervisor while having her stand there. thats wasting someones time. walking back to her car to get your change, thats a waste of time, getting exact change down to the penny, thats a waste of time. you were being a wiseass and theres not one person on this forum who wouldnt say so.

id die laughing if you told the police your story and they looked at you and said, well why didnt you tip?

look back in my previous post...i never said anything about destroying anything. and it also shows that type of person YOU are by even creating a thread like this. it seems like youre the type of person who goes out and looks for situations like these because you can get a one up on someone just because they are trying to make a few bucks working.

the whole point boils down that she refused half the tip. so i figured if my money is no good to her then she gets none.
