What a difference between yesterday and today though, even with the temps being very close (100 yesterday and 102 today) the breeze we had yesterday made a huge difference.

coolmanvette75 07-22-2011 02:45 PM

Yea weather.com is showing old bridge at 101, but 5 of my neighbors (including myself) have high readings above 107 (Im on the shady side of the street). My firends brand new civic said 115 but I think that was a little off.

Not for nothing, but right now in Seattle, Washington it is Sunny and 66* with a low of 54* and the Dewpoint is 47. It has that outlook for the next week. TIME TO MOVE!

The weather channel has stated that records have been broken all across the tri-state area.

You can't go in your pool during the day because you'll burn in about 15 minutes and it you go to the beach, just trying to cross the sand will burn the bottom of your feet. FUN SUMMER! sweat:drool:

BullittSVT 07-22-2011 03:52 PM

I work outside in a beach town and must say - thank you local businesses for A/C. Holy **** I've never sweated more in my life

maroman88 07-22-2011 03:53 PM

local paper online says that newark set a new record at 106 at 2pm

redsoxsstink 07-22-2011 04:13 PM

They're saying the high temps yesterday were around 105 to 108 for most of the state but it didn't really seem that bad. I guess the humidity throws off your ability to judge the real temp. I was sweating just as much on an 82 degreed humid day as I was yesterday. Tomorrow looks nice and cool at 91!

With the heat index, north arlington was 120*

To me it felt little more than extremely hot. I can't tell the difference between 100 and 108. Both are f'n hot.

It's wild to think that 88 degrees is 20 degrees cooler. That's like getting socked with a 70* day if it went the other direction, given a 90* average high.

deadtrend1 07-23-2011 01:11 PM

Had to ride the motorcycle to work yesterday. Morning it wasn't bad, and parked it inside work so it wouldnt be 1000 degrees when i sat on it. Ride home was terrible. No relief no matter how fast i rode. Bike was running around 215* when its normally at 190*. So much heat coming off the road. Bahhhhhhhhhhh

BonzoHansen 07-23-2011 02:00 PM

Today sucks too

maroman88 07-23-2011 03:15 PM

fixed the AC in the vette today finally.... i bet it snows tmrw!

coolmanvette75 07-23-2011 03:16 PM

Its reading 103 out, but it doesnt feel nearly as hot. I guess the low humidity has something to do with that.

spina74 07-23-2011 04:06 PM

sat in shore traffic for an hour on the parkway, no a/c t-tops off and no wind.....and all i need for my a/c to work is to install a new shrader valve and charge it...but i thought 30 bucks was too much for 2 cans of r134.

sweetbmxrider 07-23-2011 04:26 PM

Sweat was just pouring off of me today....while moving a snow mobile

Oh the ironing....

BonzoHansen 07-23-2011 08:50 PM

Our in ground pool was 98* and when you went in, it was so warm, it felt like s**t. When you got and sat on the edge of the concrete border around the pool, it burned your ass. So back into the house with the A/C!

Spent 5 hours on/in the river today. I had to scrub down the outside of the boat(algae buildup occurs faster in the heat) and then scrub the inside as well. There was a steady breeze for 4-1/2 hours but the last 1/2 hour got ugly. Today wasn't nearly as bad and tomorrow looks decent at 91.

not having AC is awful in my nbm/black leather car, on a day last week that was nothing compared to the last few I put a thermometer in it and it read 142 degrees with the windows closed, I'd love to know what it was yesterday

I got stuck in traffic for over an hour on thursday almost all uphill with my tick master and tdp stage 2 clutch which sucks in itself, meanwhile it was probably 115 degrees in my car, all while holding a vase full of flowers in one hand/between my legs the whole time, and had a giant spider crawling up my leg as I took a turn JUST as traffic cleared while I was holding a vase taking a turn and shifting all at the same time. ovearall it was the most miserable trip I have ever made in any car.

I also started working in a shop helping out this week, with fans blowing and being in the shade it's really not all that bad. I have a lot of friends that I know wouldn't be to deal with it but it's not terrible.

Anti_Rice_Guy 07-24-2011 06:55 PM

In the evenings when the sun goes down and the breeze stops when you're on the bay going 35 mph it feels like you're driving into a mega powered hair dryer. During the day it's been really nice down here though...probably 8 mph wind so it's not bad at all.

Frosty 07-24-2011 06:57 PM

I'm sure picking up those 12yr olds stuck on the water got you all hot too. So did Chris Hansen over show up? :D
