Stay safe, Jersey Shore folks.

WayFast84 10-28-2012 06:17 PM

From the pics I've seen it's already pretty bad down the shore. Good luck everyone.

Big difference between this and Irene is that the leaves are coming down to clog up storm drains. I remember that being a problem during Floyd. I'm not that worried, family is going to be home with me and the cars I worried about are high and dry.

sweetbmxrider 10-28-2012 08:28 PM

Nothing is happening. Except everyone is retarded.

The_Bishop 10-28-2012 08:32 PM

Well, that and all the wind and rain and flooding. Otherwise, nothing going on.

Work is called off for me...

Its dry in front of the house, a little breezy, and not a single kayak in the street.

V 10-28-2012 08:44 PM

We should start a thread in the multimedia section with all pictures of what is (or isn't) going on throughout this storm, lol.

sweetbmxrider 10-28-2012 08:50 PM

I don't have a camera with me, le fail.

mc73nova 10-28-2012 09:03 PM

Absolutely nothing happening in Little Falls! Not even a mist yet and somehow everyone in the house, except me, had work cancelled for tomorrow!

Featherburner 10-28-2012 09:21 PM

I've been wrenching in the garage all afternoon and evening. It's been nice out. I still have the the door up and there is just a nice breeze!

BonzoHansen 10-28-2012 09:36 PM

you guys sound disappointed your houses aren't flooded before the storm even gets here. Huh.

The_Bishop 10-28-2012 09:39 PM

Give it a few hours, then we'll get the posts about how to dry out a wet car.

Apparently nobody else realizes the big deal is tomorrow night, not right now.

greenformula92 10-28-2012 10:26 PM

I evacuated. The trans am left behind as I couldn't drive two at the same time. I hope all is well. If some one is in my area just keep an eye on the bay and keep me in the loop so I know what to be prepped for when I return home

I blame the news. I am expecting excessive doom and gloom so I want them now. Right meow.

Think I am off tomorrow, so should be fun sitting around doing nothing.

BonzoHansen 10-28-2012 10:52 PM

Apparently you didn't listen to the aforementioned news lol

LTb1ow 10-28-2012 10:53 PM

I stopped watching round 10am this morning, I just want some snow. And for teh boat to sink.

Shush with the snow. Wind is gusting pretty signficantly, little bit of rain. My wheel barrel blew over .

TaKid455 10-29-2012 07:59 AM

traffic is thin thus a speedy commute!

The_Bishop 10-29-2012 08:01 AM

Getting fairly windy here. At least most of the leaves are off the trees, so that *should* help. Generator is on standby, and I've got 20 gallons of gas in the shed. Hoping I don't need it!

unless they are all in the rain gutters and drains!

Blackbirdws6 10-29-2012 08:14 AM

Rain gutter covers FTW....until they blow off. :(

LTb1ow 10-29-2012 08:23 AM

Well sea bright has started to sink, things are getting serious.
