I think the odd thing they couldn't work around is the safety rules to run the 9 at the track. I'm not a NHRA rules expert by any stretch but I think the downfall of the car is not being able to run it all out. I'm sure at a private rental it wouldn't be an issue though. The 1.3x 60' is no joke, especially lifting 315 DRs in the front lol.

Demon will never break at the track..... "Oh you were using all the pah and trying to break the NHRA rules, we don't cover that."

Why does the car come with drag radials up front? I know you get a set of skinnys in the trunk, but why?

So you can rotate the tires/wheels.

Not a chance. Vibration is the norm and within design parameters.

They're using it as a marketing ploy anyway. "It's so fast, you can't even use this drag-focused car for drag racing because it's been banned from drag strips."

I agree completely. Anyone that wants to race competitively will be caging it etc.

Also, from what ive read/fact ive fabricated in my own head, the car wont "drive off the lot" and do 9.65s at 140. You need to opt for the crate which has all the goodies to make it capable of that time, so off the floor im sure itll do deep 10s, but deep 10s you dont need a cage do you? So i guess thats why no cage.

Also, not that the car isnt just launch and go pretty much, but i would guess that time was cut by a professional, not some guy that just wanted more HP than his friends gt500

I dono dude, bls and I drove a pair today. Its pretty easy to launch. Pull up to the light, gas to the floor, hold in the upshift, launch on green by letting go of the paddle, hit the 1-2 at 6 grand wheels up, grab that 2-3 as they start coming down around 6300, keep it in the groove for the 3-4 at 6500, and run through the traps on the limiter at 9.70 with a smile on your face. Or go full on fast and furious and barrel roll off of the timer box at the 1000' mark and accept the DNF like a man. Bls can post some vids I'm sure....

Track hawk is awesome  Ain't even detuned brahhhhhhhh
