Yea, same here, cept I went with big cam. Tune = bad news me thinks.

If you banged the limiter in two gears you should have actually trapped faster than you did and with LE2 heads and a cam somewhere around a CC306 I am assuming. I would say with a decent tune (not even dead on) you should be deep into the 12's. Something like 12.6 with a pretty good hook,

KirkEvil 05-23-2009 12:25 AM

The pcmforless guy is deep in PA right?

Formulalt1 05-23-2009 12:29 AM

Bryan normally comes out to central NJ if you get enough cars together to make it worth his while but yeah he is a good 4 -5 hours in depending on how fast you drive.

Jam 05-23-2009 12:37 AM

isn't ur car automatic?

Formulalt1 05-23-2009 12:50 AM

You can still bang the limiter in a auto if thats your point. I have done it, if you get too much wheel spin the tranny doesn't engage the next gear quick enough and it hits the limiter and then shifts.

MonmouthCtyAntz 05-23-2009 06:50 AM

Wow, how did you manage such a bad 60 w/ an auto car...Practice makes perfect.

if you read earlier posts he drove through the water and didnt do a burn out (first time at the track)

i have to get with Josh about my clutch and tune in the same time frame but last time i caught him while he was down there tuning another car :) next time you go to the track let me know and ill try to make it down there

LTb1ow 05-23-2009 10:27 AM

Will do, hopefully going to datalog the car and send it to my tuner for him to tweak the tune some.

If all goes well I would love to get back to the track this coming week.

MonmouthCtyAntz 05-25-2009 06:31 PM

Think I ran a 14.8 my first time ever @ Etown in my 97 z28 w/ a cai and 273's many moons ago...think I still managed a 2.2....Traps seems to be way low also, I pulled close to that in my bolt on 97 w/ shorties...better luck next time.

LTb1ow 05-25-2009 07:07 PM

Well when I moved the 6AL the other day I found out I had a 6k chip in it, so fail again me.

B4C 05-26-2009 12:46 AM

I ran a 18.6 on my first run at atco  spun em halfway down the track:rofl: ran a 15 flat next run:|

Jam 05-26-2009 12:52 AM

Yea, I may be heading down the same path you did Mike... Not sure if I can swing it money wise but losing weight never hurt. Just makes it that much awesomer when I run more 14s. ;)
