Surprisingly, they make money. Not ot metnion that the goverment is spending a few billion dollars for jobs that involve just this.
So...why arent we building high tech grids?

For the same reason we gave the banks billions of dollars to refuse to lend money. It was free.

Is that a rhetorical question?

I guess they are too busy solving global warming and universal HC. But I digress.

BigAls87Z28 12-17-2009 07:03 PM

The electrical companies are too busy trying to solve global warming and universal healthcare?
Again...there are billions of dollars to rebuild infrastructure...aaaaaaand they are crying that in 10-15 years, there might be enough cars on the road to put a hurt on the grid?
******** HANDRINGING and dragging down the process. Build it, or GTFO for someone who can.

Zingggggggg

BigAls87Z28 12-17-2009 07:15 PM

Zing my dick.
First off, there are several parts of the goverment that trying to help rebuild, and DOE and DOT are offering a metric **** ton of grants and loans to help with building this?
Dont make this political if it doesnt have to be. The current administration has a lot on its plate, and its just another thing to do.

LTb1ow 12-17-2009 07:26 PM

Why no zing? :|

Electric companies shouldnt have to wait for the President or any goverment to hold thier hands and walk them through this. It seems that despite what the public wants (less goverment) that business is taking advantage of it 110%

BTW...Big Camaro announcement tomorrow. 90% sure its the Z28, but could be production convertable since it hasnt been shown...but its supposed to be "major" and the convertable isnt major.

Also, several cars were shown to more press and twitter'ers.
Aveo RS
2012/13 Malibu
Camaro convertable
Chevy Orlando

The public doesn't want govt. healthcare, but the govt. went full steam ahead on that one...

If it won't make a company money, then why would the company do it?

If it will make them money, and they don't take advantage, then they fail, that is, last time I checked, how capitalism works and stuff.

I know capitalism is on its way out now a days, but still, try to keep up Al.
8-)

BigAls87Z28 12-17-2009 08:05 PM

Public does want healthcare reform, and for te most part do like the idea of the public option.

How do electrical companies make money? When people use them.
So....when more people use electricty...they make more money? And when they have massive brown outs, they make no money?
Sooooooo....money making is the idea?
Jobs
Money
Stronger infrastructure
Better technology
moving away from oil dependence
any losers? Just the ones that want to make it out more then it is.
