I like both cars, if the vert falls through or gets sold then i'll just get the other. Same car, same engine, just difference in top.

Let me know if you are selling you V6. I might have to pick it up and build up another V6 car. I miss beating down C6's in a V6 firebird!!

And since they are LS1 T/a's I think you can only get a Ttop or Vert. They didnt make Hardtop LS1 T/A's.

im not a teenager, just for the record.

buying what you want has nothing to do with age...its just being true to yourself. go with your gut.

Mark42 01-28-2010 07:23 PM

Convertibles are cool. I especially like the roof line and having a trunk, making the car a real coupe. Never did like the whole hatchback style. Camaro's and Firebirds were not created as hatch back's they were real coupes with trunks.

I was glad to see the hatchback design was dropped for the 2010 model.

No, the OP is. Buying based on what a girl might like is something a teen aged boy does.

edit: see Riggs, look at the next post!

Well, seeing as how she has to drive it to i would rather her have something she might take a lil slower b/c she's afraid of it with the top down.

No offense. She is your girlfriend, not your wife. Do not let a girlfriend steer your financial moves.

Amen brother. On a side note, I love my convertible and would not trade it for a T-Top car. On a TA though, I would not buy a convertible. I absolutely hate the wing on the TA Verts.....many people have tried to swap it out for the normal TA wing with few being successful (and looking decent). That's just me.

exactly the reason i said to make sure the relationship is solid and going somewhere. dead end gf's influences are a no-no, but a 5 year relationship going strong might be a different story

She can turn and run tomorrow with no issue even at 10 years. You can listen to what she has to say but do not let her have a say in the decision making.

BurninrubberGT 01-29-2010 09:30 AM

Recent studies show 78.43% of girls prefer ttops over verts :D

in general (not a shot at the OP) a 5 year relationship for a 19 year is not something I'd hang my hat on. Their lives haven't really started yet.

Yes. Need a rollbar a lot sooner. He doesn't imply to be racing at the track, however, and it is easily remediated anyway.
