I went to the Devils game last night and it was awesome! Rangers won too so we don't make up any ground there, but the Canes lost. Muahaha.

Only one more month until the playoffs...

NJ has a pretty easy schedule this month, not too many playoff bound teams, they may get close but you cant rely on teams ahead of you to lose.

Stop using logic and common sense, they're going to the Cup from the 12th spot if you didn't know.

Buffalo won and Atlanta plays Florida today. Lodgic schmodgic. Devils have the tools and schedule to make the playoffs, Im just saying they wont.

88WS-6 03-05-2011 03:44 PM

It's possible that the Rangers and Devils could both make it in... And they could both not make it in.

The Devils need too much help from other teams. If they were in 9th I'd so absolutely, they'll make it. But to leap over that many teams....I don't think it will happen.

GP99GT 03-05-2011 05:37 PM

if you check out the new article on NHL.com about them, the devils are playing some pretty weak teams in the next few weeks...pretty much the bottom half of the east. should be a huge help if they can continue this roll

Frosty 03-05-2011 06:18 PM

Absolutely, they're playing some weak teams but that still doesn't negate the fact they need help from other teams. If they take 15 out of the next 18 games(that's what they have left right?) and the Cane's, Rangers and Sabres win 12 out of 18 then they're still out.

They're on a roll, they're playing some sick hockey but they better pray the teams in front of them lose.

Then again playing weak teams doesn't mean much, the Flyers have lost 3 in a row, all to teams out of the playoffs right now.

Well tell the flyers to start beating the canes, rangers and leafs.

Frosty 03-05-2011 07:03 PM

Good game, huh?

Yeah it was pretty brutal.

Whenever you get down on your team just know the Devils still suck.

Frosty 03-06-2011 03:36 PM

Not down at all, every team goes through slumps, there are still 17 or so games. Unlike a lot of Flyers fans I'm not jumping ship(that's one thing I hate about idiot Philly fans).

Hopefully this is a wake up call, Boston and Pittsburgh are breathing down their necks for the #1 seed.

88WS-6 03-06-2011 04:03 PM

Ugh. The Flyers are not helping us right now.

We better hold onto this one goal lead. I can't believe Kovalchuk scored again.

Frosty 03-06-2011 04:08 PM

Yeah, he's on fire...it's about time he earned that ridiculous contract you guys gave him. ;)

88WS-6 03-06-2011 06:11 PM

I'm pretty sure he would have to score like 3 goals per game to earn that $100 million, but I'll take one a game down the stretch. Thankfully they won in a shootout today.

alamantia 03-06-2011 06:46 PM

Was clarkson back? I missed the game.

GP99GT 03-06-2011 08:53 PM

clarkson wasnt gone...?

Frosty 03-06-2011 09:56 PM

Wasn't he hurt a few weeks ago?

BurninrubberGT 03-06-2011 10:24 PM

1 game closer to the playoffs, need to go 13-4

I was watching some of the Pittsburgh game and he left with a leg injury, which I found upsetting because I think hes great player, he somewhat replaced Maddens role, and thats a very important role.

88WS-6 03-07-2011 09:51 AM

Yea he played yesterday and Friday, eventhough his wife just gave birth friday morning.

We're only 8 points out...

JL8Jeff 03-07-2011 01:41 PM

Devils are playing great but it's hard to imagine they can keep it up. Flyers are playing like poop and they're sitting back waiting for the puck to come to them or for a player to get open. You can't play hockey sitting still so they better figure it out in the next 10 games. I'm not worried about the #1 spot, but if Pitt jumps ahead of them they get dropped down to #4 at the next best.
