i say buy the WS6. |
Can a H/C car pass a smog test?? Especially a car that is 14 yrs old with those mods? Our 95 Firehawk is stock and it just passed the NJ smog test. I think California is a little bit more difficult.. You could get the Vin and check out WS6 registry and see if it matches any WS6 cars there maybe?
The car has never been raced but is very fast? What are those elecronic boxs under the steering wheel and in front of the Shifter for?? It has a WS6 airbox as well.. He spent the money to make this thing a WS6 clone if it isnt real.. |
How about.. you skip the WS6 in California that is pretty shady. And... find.. one local? If you just spent money to piss on a freshly built SS, use it! Having two f-bodies doesn't really have any advantage - just more headaches. They are aging cars, owning two old sports cars is just asking for financial trouble (I have two in my drive way). The WS6 may of been built like crap and that's what you're wanting to step in, buy what you know. If you're not knowledgeable and you come to people who know what they are talking about and what they would do in your situation, take their advice. Most of the helpful posts in this unnecessarily growing thread is saying NO, it's a bad idea. And as Jeff said above, it could very well be just a clone and that's what you're going to buy. A Clone, might as well find a Trans Am around here and make one yourself. WS6's are cool if you just want a stock car, most of the stuff done to it would be replaced if you were to build a Trans Am anyway.

Thank goodness that disaster is over. Project Shady WS6 will never be, and we are all better for it.
