They plowed my street about 10 minutes ago. Last snow they didn't plow it at all, time before they did. I wish the would be consistent one way or the other

BonzoHansen 02-14-2014 08:47 AM

I think there is one plow for all of this town.

Now the front end loader with the snow box just went down the street

Jersey Mike 02-14-2014 10:37 AM

Is this it after Saturday? Are we done? Because I can't take much more of this crap.

I've had enough. Bring on the spring!

My ride-on mower is so buried that if I didn't know where it was I'd never be able to find it. Same thing goes for my utility trailer. The snow is so deep that my quad damn near gets stuck when I pull it out to plow.

That pile at the end of the driveway is approaching glacier status. It's huge.

Yes, I am losing places to put the snow too. It really sucks throwing that wet snow above the existing pile with a shovel

BonzoHansen 02-14-2014 02:20 PM

i shoveled the snow that was in my driveway & apron. once I hit the street that slushy crap gets tossed back into the street where it will melt in hours.

Its tempting but I don't want to ruin it. Plowing beats the hell out of the vehicle especially front end components, more susceptible to rust and these frames like to rust on their own bad enough, and its a stick so I'll murder the clutch and components in short order. I do love driving it in the snow! I was looking for a cheap wrangler or cherokee with or without a plow to use but most were sticks or made of gold. I'm going to look at a reasonably priced bronco 2. My dad used to use one back in the day. Held together by duck tape, boat style gas tank in the passenger seat, and a can of starting fluid kept that baby going for years. Hopefully I can make this one lead a more dignified life

They are great for small lots, driveways, or narrow areas where 7.5'+ blades can't maneuver or even fit. Everything has its purpose. No matter the platform, they all take a massive beating.

Same cept state truck down state highway doing 30+mph  Thankfully my back was turned.

chrisfrom nj 02-15-2014 09:39 AM

you need a 6.5 plow to manuver around tight driveways but this snow sucked it was too hevy for the s10 blazer i was plowing with the first pass down a tight driveway sucked you couldnt pile the snow side to side for 60 feet i beat the s**t out of my truck and to top it off i got a ticket

That was hilarious!

Camera #2 was better though

Honestly, as someone that has to walk NYC sidewalks 5-6 days a week, I didn't think it was funny.

Recovering sidewalks with snow, denting cars, breaking store windows (I think the video surfaced because that stores $2,000 front windows broke from it), and the guy himself took that impact to the eyes and face.

sweetbmxrider 02-15-2014 10:52 AM

It is funny! You're supposed to go with the flwo of traffic anyways....

Teds89IROC 02-15-2014 02:26 PM

 Maybe he should try paying attention to his surroundings, a plow truck doesn't exactly sneak up on you barreling down the road

The_Bishop 02-15-2014 06:18 PM

Plow truck shouldn't have been going that fast, though. Pure negligence on their part, especially if they were damaging cars and buildings along the way. How do you stop a truck that big in a hurry if you need to, especially on slushy/snow-covered streets?

LTb1ow 02-15-2014 08:41 PM

Biggest truck on the road doesn't need to stop for anything.

elle 02-16-2014 07:22 AM

Waaaaaaaaaambulance is coming for you guys. I don't think it's nearly as bad as 93/94 or 96. The cold sux more than the snow imo.
