Doh.... I meant the vette was that slow ;)

Tru2Chevy 09-26-2007 08:40 PM

Well, Tim is done for the night. They won't let him run anymore since he's got a Loudmouth.

Tru2Chevy 09-26-2007 09:18 PM

Gary's second pass:

14.1 @ 101

Tim is going to make a pass in the vette now to see if he can get the 425 hp beast into the 13's

- Justin

12secondv6 09-26-2007 09:28 PM

Holy crap!!!!!

Driver SUCKS!!!!

My V6 N/A would open a can of major whoop @ss on that vette :)

Mike 09-26-2007 09:37 PM

tim went 13.99x in the vette

Mike 09-26-2007 09:37 PM

that means there is going to be a trailblazer ss vs. corvette race setup in the next couple weeks

baddest434 09-26-2007 09:42 PM

"By the way I'm Gary. I drive a 1998 Corvette" and i got pwned by tim.

Yup, Tim's pass in the Vette was 13.997 @ 101.5

Wow....the way both of these schmucks talked I thought they could drive...

Wow...Tim...c'mon man...I thought you were a God at driving anything with 4 wheels ;)

I can understand a bad ET due to driver error but only a 101 trap out of the vette? ****....I know E-town blows but damn...that's freakin horrible :(

12secondv6 09-26-2007 10:05 PM

I think it is decently hot/ humid out tonight.

The mph, for the vette considering its mods, are kinda on the low side.

The camaro was decent.

Is this tim's first manual car? I only remember him at the track w/ an auto??

What was the d/s tonight?

Eh....He squeezed almost 106 out of his camaro with less mods. I think that vette has serious issues (besides !driver mod).

- Justin

Frosty 09-26-2007 10:10 PM

The vette has some big time issues if it's only trapping with those mods...hell he's more modded than I am and I'm trapping at 107-108

Icemansghost 09-26-2007 11:11 PM

I don't know what happened a stock z06 ran 13.45 today, who knows. My car has a fresh tune up and is in good driving shape for 90,000 miles.

Mike 09-26-2007 11:21 PM

nothing "happened" it was the drivers

Mike 09-26-2007 11:49 PM

Buoniconti81 will you be able to go to the track again next wednedsday night?

NJSPEEDER 09-27-2007 12:14 AM

as expected, me ET's were all about the driver being rusty. jsut a tick under 106 trap speed, there is a 12 in it, the driver jsut has to launch the thing and hit the shifts.
gary's car felt weird when i drove it. could be a bit more aggressive at launch, seems like the power comes on late. like it is flat and then suddenly starts to wake up in time to shift. dunno what that is all about.

james, it has easily been 10 years since i dragged raced a manual car. i have owned a few since, but none that i raced other than leaving toll booths. lol

gary forgot to mention that i went quicker than him in his own car. lol

i will be heading back to the track soon enough. felt great to get back there again, i would liek to make a habit of it.

btw, stock clutch is a mess. lol

Icemansghost 09-27-2007 12:44 AM

I need a z06 rear end and a stall speed! also a 1s6 intake and some nice heads and a cam! by next racing season ill be ready. I need to talk to js performace a bit since he lives around the corner from me.

It's those options that make the vette "superior" in the eyes of some. I don't NEED those options but it's nice to have(I still wish 98's came with the HUD). The vette isn't just a race car, it's cruise car, a status car. It's placed on a higher level than Fbody's are(right or wrong).

If you only have racing in mind then the fbody is the right choice, if you're looking for something nicer that's also faster then the vette is your way to go. It's not always about 1/4 times.

Nice, you'e not only compensating for your own erhm... shortcomings, but for those of all other vette owners

What's that abotu the faster part now??? And the

It's Gary's race to lose...and I'm not saying that because I'm a vette owner, I'm saying that because your cars are close when stock and he has more mods than you. My vette the way it sits would run faster than your SS and Gary has more mods than I do.

So your car is, by ricer comparison, slower than his? And who has an SS???

I think you need to figure out what's wrong with your car before you think about any more mods.

I think taking it to JS Performance now is prolly a good idea. Don't wait till next season.....

What he said.

ET is one thing but to only trap at 101 isn't good. I know it's E-town(God I hate that track) and it was humid last night but still, all things considering you still should have been around 104-105
