I've heard conflicting theories on that one. When my car was tuned by Matt he stuck the o2 in the tailpipe since I didn't have a hole for the bung in the Y pipe. So i'm guessing Matt doesn't believe it affects the air/fuel ratio that much.

I need to start visiting this site more often, I miss out on everything. Anyone cruising up from Lacey, I know you are^ so what time you leaving Lacey? And any dyno spots still available??

I'm not sure what time I'm going to be leaving. I'm thinking about 8 a.m. since it seems like a lot of people want to get dynoed and the dyno is open to on a first come first serve basis. It really depends because my car was just put on the dyno back in July so I may not dyno. PM me your number sometime before next Saturday and I'll call you when I'm leaving and we can meet at the Shell or the rest stop.

Vinnie

bringin the SS i assume?

TTPMatt 11-05-2008 11:15 AM

The air/fuel ratio is affected a bit by being after the cats. I take this into consideration when adjusting the fueling tables.

We usually even use rear o2 bungs even after cats. Either method works tailpipe or direct fit. I have recommended to some to drop their y-pipe or x-pipe and have us weld in a bung direct to the header or pre-cats for better tuning purposes. However, not everyone wants to spend the 1-1.5 hr of R&I & welding labor to put in a bung, and I don't blame them.

GP99GT 11-05-2008 11:19 AM

well i plan on getting a bung welded in for tuning when the blower is installed...just dont want to get there and have you guys not push it if it reads lean. it wont blow up, its a ford ;)

Jersyboyy 11-06-2008 01:13 AM

Good idea of stopping off and meeting up tho, best spot would probally be at the rest stop on the parkway at exit like 123 or w.e its 5 min from my house and a hop on and off the parkway.

xrelapse13 11-06-2008 10:09 AM

I'll be going
