Any Convoys from central NJ traveling to the show together?

Blackbirdws6 08-04-2009 07:53 PM

Might be out this year to show the bird. I was working on trade for some new pretty valve covers. As of right now, my stockers are sent out, and I have not received the new covers yet. Who knows if the person I'm dealing with sent them out and if they will be here in time.

I'm facing a possible pass on this year's meet. I picked up a second job for some extra money and I got scheduled to work on Sunday even though I asked for it off. Apparently a lot of other folks wanted that day off as well so the prospects of finding someone to work for me are very slim.

This sucks.

Sorry guys but I won't make it. I was going to go for sure and was also going to bring the TA with me due to how it was running. (was running good enough to take a chance on a run, not leaking a damn thing and did runs at temp for long enough to justify giving it a try) My mom is having me run up to Maine to pick up my sister over the weekend. Hope its a blast for all going.

If I get the car back from the mechanic by tomorrow afternoon there is a shot of some of you seeing me. There is a cruise night at the NJ State Fair at the Fairgrounds in Augusta. Starting at 5. I will be there along with my brother. As I said I might have the TA there if its back in time. Other than that, look for me and the car at the Chatterbox.

Would like to tag along. Where can I meet you guys up at?

LTb1ow 08-05-2009 09:07 PM

we are meeting at the monmouth mall and then depending on if more central people join prob somewhere else north of that.

tjd24 08-05-2009 10:25 PM

Looking forward to being there with my 5th Gen - unsure if I'll show the car or just come by to meet everyone I can though I recognize the car will be a show regardless.

If you show it, you're bound to have a pretty good chance of taking home a trophy :)

the hamilton/ewing/bordentown area people usually cruise straight up 31 and meet at one of the big quick checks.. then usually pick up a couple more cars as we pass through flemington and whatnot

jr86drag 08-06-2009 06:17 AM

40% chance of scattered tstorms, in the area they dont come until around 4pm, so should get the show in

BonzoHansen 08-06-2009 07:38 AM

The weather forecast changes seemingly by the hour. We will worry about it Sunday AM.

The last four years we have had rain in the forecast each year for this event, and only once has it actually rained before we were able to complete the days activities.

Lets meet up 1st then hook up with the others on the road somewhere. Whats a good place for you in Edison? Skylark Diner? I have never been to the island.

It's a traditon. It wouldn't be a fun show without it.
