Does anyone have an EZ Up they can bring for us?

you mean Canopy? I have one.... Can bring it. I'll probably have a few parts with me too for Ron. I'm shooting to get there around when the gates open or maybe even before so I can get a helmet.

I think I'd rather try to get in some racing and deal with the rain at night than gamble that next week will not be a total washout. Lately the storms have been coming really late. or they're scattered and miss places entirely. I wouldn't want to be the admins here because this would be a tough call. Though at the moment, the talking heads are calling for sunny and 70s next saturday.... Called for the same thing tomorrow early this week then it changed.

The NOAA has a better outlook....

Saturday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, increasing clouds, with a high near 76. Light south wind increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Saturday Night: Scattered showers and thunderstorms before 8pm, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm between 8pm and 2am, then scattered showers after 2am. Low around 58. Southeast wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.

Accuweather has a similar outlook as the one above.

if its delayed till next week I can go

Call will be made when time gets closer. I'm still planning on going up tomorrow

If the weather holds out, I'll be there, maybe even blown down a pass or 2. I'll most likely be alone because my friends are fake as hell. Also would be cool to purchase a hoodie if you have any in 2xl :-)

I just saw the hourly, sounds like its 50% chance of something, all throughout the hours from 4pm onwards. If its scattered, it may be worth the gamble. Real rain is not coming in til later it seems, after we have had our fun. At least according to the weather channel.

According to NOAA, we should be clear, only 30%, been dropping in percentage since wed.

Saturday:A slight chance of showers between 3pm and 4pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4pm. Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 77. Light south wind increasing to 8 to 13 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Saturday Night: Showers and thunderstorms before 2am, then showers likely. Low around 57. Southeast wind 6 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.

Just called and spoke to someone at island and they're tracking the weather. It's stalled around Pittsburgh, and we'll be good til about 7pm. Thundercats are go!

grazi 09-21-2013 10:30 AM

It's drizzling in rockaway.

I'll have that Pop up Mike, if you're looking for me to put it up, I'll have the GTA.

See you guys there.

Jersey Mike 09-21-2013 12:53 PM

Weather's great out here!

Firebird67dude 09-21-2013 12:56 PM

Just saw this. No firebird but I'll come in the srt. Come see some old faces.

The_Bishop 09-21-2013 06:10 PM

Weather was decent, met some cool people, spent a lot of time scratching my head wondering WTF was wrong with my tune when it was a bad tank of gas.

TaKid455 09-21-2013 07:04 PM

Rain held off. Got a few runs in and meet some new faces and old ones. Sorry I shorted conversations with a few. I was on a mission w/ car. Seems there's untapped power I need to find. Engine should be producing more power than indicated by MPH. E/T will be off due to road race suspension. Running lean is not helping matters. Did confirm I am at the limits of current EFI systems thus new EFI coming in off season. Sorta knew this would be an issue from the start.

Finally met the above in person. Same town to boot!

Jersey Mike 09-21-2013 07:18 PM

I have a bone to pick with some of you no shows! But a lot of people not on the list ended up coming out!!

Met some new folks, we made a couple of new members, but had a greattttt time.

I have a ton of pictures and videos I'll post.

A shame we couldn't do the banner unveiling today, but we'll try to do something special to make the official announcement soon. Thank you guys that came out and made the day so fun!!

My first three runs were all just stupid mistakes. Once i settled down and brought my launch down i was running 11.40's.

But I heard my car shot out some nice large flames.

LOL, well I went back to 1955. Trapped 88 MPH with a 15.8. Traction problems and possibly even the damn intake bottleneck, still doesn't explain why it dropped time. Tried various launch points, changed around the shift points a lil etc. No joy.... So what now? Do I break out the black paint and facemasks ,for a lil Wawa store robbery spree? Use said funds for insane power increase? That car is definitely faster than a 15.8... hands down. Even with street tires.:facepalm:
