Yeah, she asked Justin, he mentioned throw it up here as an idea. This way there was no perception of undue influence from us. Just an idea for you guys to consider. She did and the idea was not embraced and she said fine and moved on. Way to blow it out of proportion, oh noes one person disagrees with me.

well i was just trying to help and get the ball rolling. didnt ask for pbody to go and flame me and question my intentions for getting this cruise.

Welcome to doing things in public. It ain't all sunshine and puppydogs. BFD someone disagreed with you. If I cried like that everytime someone disagreed with me I'd have drowned in tears a long time ago.

Its time for change.

RiggsLW81 07-17-2009 06:41 PM

not that im against charity or anything...BUT, i do love f bodies and wanna see this thing through...

SO...

its painfully obvious that this wont happen before the weather changes and the fall season arrives...

one question: does anyone want to plan a one day (saturday) cruise, non charity, non police involved, non any other cars involvement CRUISE.

im a sugesting a saturday, say last one in august, at a mutual meeting point (to be determined) for a nice long non official highway cruise.

THIS IS NOT TO DETER from the charity sponsored event, just an alternative while the planning/red tape gets completed.

in closing, fbody cruise, saturday aug 22 or 29th. (place to be decided to meet) then cruise to somewhere (decent length drive to location)...say a big park for a BBQ or something.

the floor is yours.

LTb1ow 07-17-2009 06:44 PM

There is one on this Sunday, I think its to some Duke's park somewhere up north, def not in central but somewhere.... you should go, there will be a BBQ.

RiggsLW81 07-17-2009 07:05 PM

i would like to go but ill be drunk in a parking lot all day followed by seeing motley crue! it seems everytime their is a meet that is within a reasonable distance to attend, im already busy..

but, seeing the crue will rock!

Saitin 07-17-2009 08:19 PM

probably be best to get all the paperwork set up first then set a date for the spring then start a signup and collecting the fee ,IMO.

Mike 07-17-2009 10:49 PM

so, my camera and donation arent worthy because i would take my truck? **** it then ill send a check to the charity and watch you not come close to 100 people

NastyEllEssWon 07-17-2009 11:58 PM

did i say that mike? if you read through the thread i wouldnt have no problem with any staff/volunteers bringing chase cars to take pics/volunteer time and help is no problem....i just figured you know...fbody cruise whatever....bring whatever you want...hell lets let any car they want come through and cruise with us...that way its just like being in traffic on any normal day.

Mike 07-18-2009 12:13 AM

you said multiple times that you want only fbodys, you didnt say anything anywhere about chase vehicles. whatever have fun

JL8Jeff 07-18-2009 10:25 AM

The cars being allowed might really be a decision by the police involved. Do they allow other vehicles in the Corvette run(other than support)? The starting point is finding out what they will even allow. They might not even want to do it beyond the Corvette club because then they would need to accomodate every club/make out there. So let's not overreact until more info is found out. I would think it will take more than 1 or 2 months to put something together with some type of bbq or event at the end meeting point so figure it for fall at the earliest if not next year. I think the 100 F-body cruise is a good starting point with a good focus.

LTb1ow 07-19-2009 08:05 PM
