BonzoHansen 10-27-2010 09:05 PM

he sucked eggs tonight

Frosty 10-27-2010 09:10 PM

That he did...surprising...

JL8Jeff 10-27-2010 10:00 PM

SF might be using up all their good luck tonight in the first game! I still can't believe the number of errors in the playoffs this year.

BigAls87Z28 10-28-2010 09:29 AM

Lee looked like AJ last night.

BigAls87Z28 10-29-2010 12:36 AM

Aaaaaaaaaaand Rangers took a giant German shyte on themselves again. 21 balls in the 8th. Wash just let pitcher after pitcher keep throwing balls, or grapefruits to the Giants.

JL8Jeff 10-29-2010 07:28 AM

Had a nice pitchers duel going until 2 out in the 8th! That is some extremely bad pitching.

NastyEllEssWon 11-01-2010 08:48 PM

and cliff lee gives up a 3 run homer in the 7th with 2 outs. looks like SF is gonna be spraying the champagne tonight.

and cruz answers with a solo shot....this could get interesting with the momentum swinging

BonzoHansen 11-01-2010 09:04 PM

cliff lee's price tag is dropping lol

JL8Jeff 11-01-2010 10:10 PM

Congrats to SF, they shut down everyone. They barely beat the Phils with 3 games by 1 run, but that's what the Phils did to Tampa a couple of years ago. Good managing wins (smallball) again! Texas looked like the Phils with everyone trying to hit homeruns. :-?

...and maybe now idiot Phillies fans will stop whining about trading Lee for Halladay. This city is STILL complaining about the trade. They're both top notch pitchers...Lee showed he is human and that he's no better than Halladay.

How this should read is this

The Three-Time top team in the NL failed to beat the no-named team that just won the World Series.

At least I can admit that the yanks forgot how to play baseball somewhere in October.

or maybe it should read exactly how it was posted. small ball wins games.

There was nothing no name about SF, they had one of the best pitching staffs all year and were favored to win the west. It's good to see so many different teams getting into the playoffs the last few years.

What I have been saying for the last 2 years

BonzoHansen 04-12-2011 01:24 PM

OMG IT’S ALL GOING WRONG 9 GAMES IN!!!!!!! Fu*&in’a last week it was Boston fans, now it is Yankee fans. Settle down.

I have faith in #2. The season is all of 9 games old. Let’s not push the panic button yet. Hell a week ago they were saying Textiera was smoking hot out of the gate. Now they are saying he sucks in April again as he rides an 0-15 streak.

Writers are stupid. They keep saying Jeter ‘abandoned his new swing’ because they don’t know the difference between a stride forward, a stride in (what he used to do) and a toe tap. There should be a rule about writing about baseball and actually understanding the nuances. The toe tap approach seems to work well for Pulhols (and at least 1/3 of the league) so I think Jeter can do it. They need to write about pulhols dropping his hands right now which is why he isn’t hitting like himself – the best in baseball that is.

Who should lead off for the yanks? Gardner isn’t hitting any better and based on the 9 game panic logic he never will. Granderson has like a .350 lifetime OBP so he sure isn’t the answer. Exactly who on the current 25 man roster should lead off?

alamantia 04-14-2011 06:41 AM

Anyone who can hit and steal bases AKA not Jeter

Frosty 04-14-2011 07:05 AM

Yankees fans bitching 10 games into the season=priceless

BonzoHansen 04-14-2011 07:52 AM

Lol, right? Wiat until Mariano blows 2 saves in a row. The sky is falling!!

so answer the question. who on the 25 man roster should lead off?

Last night Jeter 2 for 4, 2R, 1 RBI.

Frosty 04-14-2011 08:01 AM

That's OK, Phillies fans are whining too.

BonzoHansen 04-14-2011 08:02 AM

That is what happens to spoiled fans.

Frosty 04-14-2011 08:06 AM

True, it's a combo of that and most Philadelphia fans are idiots  Most are just fans of their teams, not the sport. Ask them something about another team or the sport and you get that deer caught in headlight look lol

BonzoHansen 04-14-2011 09:04 AM

At least I don't hear too much crying about rollins and his .250ave/.350obp in the top of the order.

alamantia 04-14-2011 09:24 AM

Im not bitching, I just think its comical how high of a pedestal yankee fans place an aging player who cant perform the way he once did because they can only farm catchers lately, everyone seems to want to ignore inevitable truth that Jeter is no longer the man for that spot.

BonzoHansen 04-14-2011 10:13 AM

it's not a matter of a pedestal, although I think his track records allows for more than 10 games before we throw him out. A first ballot HOF gets a bit more rope than a 3rd year kid. it's a matter of pragmatism. the roster is what it is. You start moving him around you screw up the rest of the lineup – they like being able to break up lefties/righties. there is no prototypical leadoff hitter on this team.
