Well, went outside to survey the damage. Looks like the house is OK. Got very lucky on that one. However, my cable wire is *gone* and the power lines are heavily damaged, with one of the three wires snapped. I also have probably a full cord of maple wood lying in my front yard to chainsaw up. Need this storm to be over so I can clean up already.

Power is out here. Lots of pretty colors flashing outside.

Power out at around 830

redsoxsstink 10-29-2012 08:34 PM

Power is out and such so far nothing serious to the house or lines around it. Is it Safe to Say done with the whole rain for the most part?

aside from some rain bands, its pretty much a wind storm now

The_Bishop 10-29-2012 08:45 PM

I'd rather have the rain, thanks. You can keep the wind.

BonzoHansen 10-29-2012 08:50 PM

Sounds like nyc is a disaster area. At least 5 dead.

Yeah, I guess this was a major over hype.

BonzoHansen 10-29-2012 08:51 PM

BonzoHansen 10-29-2012 08:52 PM

He and adam attempted to make to my place but i think the scooby doo mobile sucked up some water and they hade to retreat back with adams jeep.

Last i hea4d they were waiting in a parking lot for water level to go down.

Looks like my house survived this last high tide, came within 4 ft or so of dumping down into the crawlspace. Neighbors have a few trees down, may be towing some out of driveways tmmr if the waters recide.

coolmanvette75 10-29-2012 10:17 PM

Man lower Manhattan is not looking good at all judging by the news clips. Just talked to my friend out in Masapequa and he said they are 5ft under right now. Hang in there everyone...

LTb1ow 10-29-2012 10:37 PM

From the reports from my dad, monmouth beach, seabright, and the highlands area took a lot of abuse and are devasted. If you wanted a boat, nows the time to snag one floating down a street.

greenformula92 10-29-2012 11:03 PM

Does anyone have any updates for the ware town/Lacey area
