wtf none of the nerds have doom3?
|
I have Doom 3, but I haven't installed it. I don't know how well it will play on my system (XP 1700+, 640 MB pc-133, Nvidia FX 6200 128mb).
Anyone ever play Max Payne? This thread just made me remember that I never did get around to finishing that game... - Justin |

the harddrive on your laptop is alot slower then the one in you desktop pc
|
where does it say that? or is it one of those "common knowledge" things for nerds?
|
Hmm...surprised Doom plays on that system with only 512mb RAM. I'll definetly have to try to install it later tonight.

Chances are the desktop also has better video, and beater heat management. - Justin |

There are a few 7200 RPM laptop drives out, but they are pricey.
Best to just get a WD Raptor (10,000 RPM drive) for the desktop, along with another 512 mb of RAM. - Justin |

Max Payne was awesome, I played the first one for X-box. It was a great game, never got around to playin the second one though. Good ending but it was kinda cyclical.

western digital came out with a new raptor, the raptox X its $300 though :( but then again it spins at 10k rpms and has a 16 meg cache  as for the spyware on your parent's computer vitali search google for a program called hitman pro and install it. it runs like 15 different spyware programs automatically, so all you have to do is hit start and walk away for a half hour :) before you start it go into the options and put a check mark next to "accept liscence agreements" or else it wont be automatic it will ask you each time if you accept the agreement... |
if by 15 your mean 6, i think...
|
ehh 6, 15 same thing.... i runs a decent amount of them thats all i know and it gets the job done..
|
i have adaware and spybot and the professional edition of avast! I've never had any issues
