ive seen the ayers one on 46 and a black one on 80
|
Coming home from Greenwich I followed a red and white (white vinyl? roof) 1970-71 Firebird from the Blasting Zone on Rt. 80 near Roxbury, all the way to 206, passed him on 206 heading into Byram, and ran nose to tail til he turned off onto Lackawanna heading up towards Wild West City. I was in the Bronco...anyone on here? If so nice ride!

new milford area. 2010 Camaro LT/RS with the GFX package, red jewel tintcoat, f'in sweeeeeeeeeet car... sounds good for a v6 also
|
Between Budd Lake and Hackettstown while driving back from dropping off a car for work, we saw a 1974 Trans Am Super Duty on Rt 46 around 4:30. I think it had dealer plates too. Looked like a typical second gen car with the quarters rotted. Dark Blue. Now I am saying 74 and Super Duty because I only saw the back of it and the hood scoop which said SD-455. Now I am not saying it was a real Super Duty but, I am leaving it open to the possibility.

I do know that the 8 track needs a little cleaning. Just returned to the road since 1985 this Jan. Drivetrain and plumbing is all rebuilt or new. Suspension rebuild coming soon. Hoping to take it to Saratoga in July. |

I see the suspense is killing you.
It is an original LS2 RPO optioned engine car. some as received and after pics of engine. I tried to get the colors as colors and details to original as possible. Decal is now on valve cover. |

The original one I've got photos of is part of a Michigan Collection from a guy who has at least 4 more SD cars. I asked if any were for sale and he said if the price is right then any of them could be sold. (I think it was out of my price range). |
I agree that the 73 is more aesthetically pleasing. I am not a big fan of the 74-76 cars due to the bumpers, but the dark colors subdue that monstrosity. Its dawning upon me. Originally I did not intend to keep this guy, but its a blast to drive and banging the gears while cranking the 8 track is utopia by itself. It will a while before I tend to the body as I have other priorities to attend to after I do the suspension.(mainly my 78 & 72 t/a's & masters) Mechanically, the car will be completely restored/ rebuilt. Its only original once.
I would have no qualms assisting you with your t/a. Its actually a side business I do. service, resto and mods. I tend to lean more towards the mod side or improving upon what GM designed while keeping everything appearing stock. |
i spotted a 4th gen trans am with flames and a ricer wing on top of the stock spoiler
thing is i dont remember if it was on ct-15 or 287 in nj yesterday...but ive seen pics of the car on this forum |

Late 4th gen Camaro with T-tops, I think it was a dark blue or Purple on my street (Penn Ave) in Andover near Lake Lenape, as I was coming home around 5:30. If that was anyone on here, you should have come up the street three more houses, the Trans Am is in the garage.

I saw mtg at the wendy's in Ramsey and saw myfirstz in his driveway

Ok now I am wondering something. Out of all the cars everyone has ever seen has anyone seen this one?
I was cleaning out my garage and found a couple of cans of Ultramarine Blue touch up paint. Knowing what they were for I got to wondering. Does the 1978 Firebird we owned back in the mid 80s to early 90s still exist? It was a 1978 Firebird Esprit, automatic, 305 V-8, that had a rear spoiler and was the aforementioned Ultramarine Blue. However, this one was unique. My Dad put the 10th Anniversary Trans Am interior in it out of his 1977 Black and Gold clone. (was wrecked before ever finished) If it indeed is still around where is it? I might be crazy enough to bring it back into the family. Naturally I'm not expecting any responses, but with the silver leather interior and blue paint some one is bound to recognize it if it is still in that scheme. We sold the car after we bought the 84, we had both cars for a while. I believe it was sold in 1991. |
