I'd like to know this as well.

Granted, you can damage your liver or kidneys if you are constantly taking it and doing excessive drinking- or if you flat out take way too much of it.

LTb1ow 12-04-2008 11:32 AM

Drinking + creatine = bad?

Yes. A few beers or glasses of wine shouldn't be a big deal. But shots and jagerbombs and party drinking and you will end up with liver damage.

lol this is true, and that will happen without supplements too haha. i dont party as much as i used to. especially when im working out.

for anybody who says supplements in general will hurt your liver, get a liver test before and then after. and of course, do not drink while working out for that time period, as it will throw off your liver test results

+1, and unless youre doing a methylated DS or PH youre liver should be fine with any other supplements as long as you keep your water intake high

sounds like youre just too narrow minded and ignorant to the supplement world

its simple science- your body uses up vitamins, amino acids and other things that simply cannot be replaced fast enough. what happens? you wear out and cant complete sets. then your sore as hell the next day. supplements help you get a better workout and recover faster.

i take vitamins. i'm talking about that nox explod and all that other stuff. some sounds like a joke like theres one out there it says it saves oxygen for at least 2 extra reps and things like that.

nitrous oxide is scientifically proven to what it is advertised to do, no?

That's nitric oxide. Same stuff your car uses a catalytic converter to reduce. It acts like a vasodialator in increases blood flow.

LTb1ow 12-04-2008 07:05 PM

Oops, thats what I meant. And got any good recommendations for vitamins?

rscamaro73 12-04-2008 07:05 PM

Hey guys - go to this fella's site - http://www.joe-cannon.com/

You can see his book there in the corner. He's the guy I took my trainer cert thru. He's prolly forgotten more than we all know together. Plus he's legit in his research as well. He calls it like he sees it, and won't BS either.

Worth the cost of the book if you want the straight scoop. And it just came out within the last year....

He dosn't have to. Its HIS opinion. and it is unhealthy in the long run, if you take it ALOT. as mentioned befor.

Opinions are based on some kind of information, the ones that aren't are... well worthless, even as an opinion. Everything is unhealthy if there's too much of it, sun, pizza, meat, hell you can even die from drinking too much water. Do you have a point, or just "too much is bad for you"? We were talking normal dosage, and following recommendations.
