Mustand Dyno, lettuce be cereal here

My bad. Blame it on the lack of sleep. Fixed.

Hey guys, need your opinion on this project cause I'm about to go ahead and start the motor. If I have not mentioned already I want a street / strip car. Looking to be in the high 9's. So should I do a 408 stroker kit to this lq 6.0 block I have and run a procharger with that, or do a lsx with a prochargher?

LTb1ow 10-06-2015 07:24 PM

All depends on your budget and what TTP is comfortable working with.

I believe Rob (barneymobile) runs 9s with a LQ9 block punched out with nitrous.

Anyone running wilwood brakes? I want to get the 140-9833 front kit and the 140-9830 rear brake kit. Wilwood says that both kits use factory spindles and back plates. Is anyone familiar with these brake kits?

I still have the fronts to get. Got the weld S71b 15x4.5 on order. I decided to go with the hoosier 27x11.5x15 quick time pros for the rear and Hoosier 26x4.5x15 front runners. I spoke with madman on ls1tech, got front and rear coilovers and travel limiters coming from him, to help keep the noise not pointing to the sky.

So more than likely my wavetrac will be up for sale. It was never used, car has gone from being a street/strip car to all out strip. I placed another order with quick performance yesterday for 40 spline axles, 35 spline pinion gear and 9 and 1/2 ring gear with drag spool. Oh well, if anyone is interested let me know it's going to be the posi unit only with 28 spline pinion and the 35 spline axle shafts. 4:11 gear ratio.

I'd like to keep them to a minimal height. Im going to run a set of travel limiters up front and some real good coilovers. Hopefully I'm not looking up the sky.

unstable bob gable 08-12-2017 09:21 PM

You look like you will be running some serious times.

Been super busy with my 3 year old, but I did get some parts in. I decided to go with a polished aluminum and metallic silver look for this car. I got my wilwood drag brakes, madman wheelie bar brackets, ordered some badges from embempros. Also decided to get the polished beadlock rings on the weld wheels
