Alright thats good, and just be prepared the tuner may tell you to replace your motor mounts if he starts seeing a ton of knock. May help to make him aware of that too before he starts.

Do you have a LT4 knock module in the PCM?

bigz28man 07-09-2012 04:40 PM

no i dont lt4 knock module.....believe it or not as far as the motor mounts go.....chad over at golen instructed me to go with stock motor mounts.....i know that does sound crazy but its true

Are the headers coated? I have read that new coated headers can ruin o2 sensors on initial start up. It's recommended to start the car with old sensors and after a few hours of run time switch to the new sensors.

bigz28man 07-09-2012 07:17 PM

The headers are polished which by the way look like absolute ***** now, anyway i did use the the old stock O2 sensors.

sweetbmxrider 07-10-2012 07:23 AM

You said the engine sensor fuse is good? Check that the black wire on the engine harness side of the o2 connector show ground. Most likely your o2's are bad.

bigz28man 07-10-2012 10:15 AM

Im glad i saved the other set of O2 sensors i bought, at least i can test a theory to find out weather or not the others went bad.

Just wanted to give an update with a issue i was having awhile back with shifting through the gears. The car shifts nice an easy now, and tomorrow im pulling the two dummy lights out for the abs and asr lights. I spoke with kieth over at pcmforless, the other issues I'm having the tps and maf sensors will be addressed and fixed when it goes on the dyno. Im going to plug in the new O2 sensors i have and see if that problem still exists. If it does they are being placed in the collectors and i will go from there.

So who's running with 325/50/15 ? Im looking for anyone who has photos, I'm getting no traction and I need wider sneakers in the rear. Was looking at this tire from hoosier. specs says it only 1.6'' taller than what I'm running with now. Also looking for a good set of matching skinnies.

Are you looking at these as track only tires, or something to use everyday? Not sure what tire brand / model / size you are running now, but this tire is a full 2" taller than a stock 275/40/17 (25.7"). Between the height and the width I think you will have a rough time trying to get it to fit well with no rubbing.

Im running with a bfgoodrich kdws 2 295/35/18 now. The car just wants to light up the rear tires through 1st and 2nd gears even going easy in throttle.

There is an in-between... ET Streets.

For starters, that's an M+S tire with 400 treadwear...

Any suggestions on some front and rear tire combos you guys are running. I'll be looking to order something soon from summit.

coolmanvette75 07-17-2012 09:52 AM

Mt et streets

LTb1ow 07-17-2012 09:59 AM

I was running 275/40-17 MT ET street radials on mine, great tire and hooked very well on the street.

Downside is, they are not for everyone, if you are an idiot in the rain/snow, you prob will crash/die/etc

Plenty of sticky tire choices depending on how you use the car. Got any numbers yet?

bigz28man 07-17-2012 05:21 PM

Had the O2 issues today, the O2 bungs are now being placed in the collectors. Car is staying over night at tune time, and will go back on the dyno tomorrow. Other than that all the other issues have been worked out.

Well, the car will be limping home, its got a rear bad vibration coming from the trans. Josh, and Matt had it up on the lift and did not like what they were hearing or feeling from the trans. Possbily a bad bearing. The car may be leaving on a trialer.

Blackbirdws6 07-18-2012 06:29 PM

Did it have the vibration before you dropped it off? That sucks.

bigz28man 07-18-2012 06:42 PM

Not that i can recall. So the car is out of commission for the rest summer. The trans is getting pulled next week, two week's to tear it down, and atleast another week to get it back in. Also Matt told me to pull the cover off the rear, and re-seal it.

bigz28man 07-20-2012 08:19 AM

anyone have any experience with rpmtransmission? Spoke with them yesterday, l may be going with their level 5 t56 trans, or does anyone have a good direction on where i should go with this? rebuild it or swap it? while it was over at tunetime mike their engine builder said he would rebuild it and make it pretty much bullet proof for 2K. I'm really beginning to hate this car
