Im chubby so i dont like scales, they are mean.

But yes, once i get the driver side done ill throw all the pieces in a box and get em on a scale. Im guessing to come out around 10-12lbs each side since the way i cut is a little more extreme than some others. Some people are just using a 3" hole saw and swiss cheesing them to get 7-8lbs per side.

I know its really not much weight, and as negative Nancy Mike has said, its prob not worth the effort in you have perfectly aligned gaps and what not. But my fenders were coming off anyway, so when in rome i guess

Weight removal over the front tires is great for burnout wheelies

LTb1ow 12-13-2016 07:11 PM

If you remove the front brakes you will be able to better burn outs.

According to this link it need a to be in a box or sealed up.

sweetbmxrider 12-15-2016 06:21 AM

Moroso blue box! Or just get a baby lithium up front.

LS1ow 12-15-2016 06:57 AM

I know NHRA is NHRA, but i feel like no one had a issue passing tech with e BMR style battery mount. This true ??

Or does the Moroso boxes fit in the spare well/Ttop well? I dont want to build a firewall.

sweetbmxrider 12-15-2016 07:43 AM

I stuck mine dead center in the ttop well with no issues. Mounted my cut off on passenger frame rail, push pull style from summit.

Can't remember. Was yours a T-Top car? If so, with a battery sitting in the TTop well, where did you store your TTops on nice weather days? ...Home?
