I used castroaul(sp?) stuff in a purple bottle, i recomend that to everyone! I cleaned j0n's heads with it and wd40 it was about 30x stronger then wd40!

qwikz28 05-06-2006 02:14 PM

you used wd-40 to clean your hands? i usually clean my hands after i get wd-40 on them

Tsar 05-06-2006 02:15 PM

um..alex looks like you used buncha tire shine in your engine bay

ar0ck 05-06-2006 02:17 PM

I used a mixture of GUNK & Water with a sponge and a clean rag. It got the thick stuff off and I was also using an air gun to dry the water and get it out of the cracks.

It looks good in the pictures  Im still not satisfied. Who wants to help ditch the Emmisions & AC?

maroman88 05-06-2006 02:18 PM

not really. well maybe for ur ls1 bay but mine isnt, and thats the whole reason my car wasnt runing and got it so cheap, the guy who owned it got the engine bay steam cleaned (btw were can I have this done?) then a week later he just hosed the bay down and fried the ecm, at that time parked it for years and it got all rusty.... so just be care full when cleanin ur bays

qwikz28 05-06-2006 08:44 PM

BigAls87Z28 05-06-2006 09:01 PM

Um, it depends. You can have it taken out, but it really doesnt matter. If its R-12, then yes its dangerious, if its R-134a, then you are good to go.

qwikz28 05-06-2006 09:08 PM

thats why i said make sure you know what your doing. so F you kasey

Savage_Messiah 05-06-2006 09:09 PM

it's r134a is alex's car im pretty sure... as logn as you don't sit there inhaling it from the source you're good to go (But Jeff would disagree ;))
