well after running a 12.17 tuesday night, i figured id finally give in and take alot of crap out for this friday or saturday. so far 2night, i took out 102lbs of crap

things ive taken out-

prior to 10-30-07

AIR and EGR
spare and jack
front sway
rear seat
front pass seat
plastic piece under steering column/dash
15x8 weld prostars on the rear were on

tonight/this am

all carpet/sound deadening and most interior panels
center console
both air bags and the air bag metal box thing under console
miscellaneous crap laying around in the car (change etc)

what i still have to take out if i want to-

A/C stuff (will probably do later today) dont really need now
Door panels

and last but not least, im going to put my skinnies on. thats 46lbs off as well so right now im looking at 148lbs that will be off of the car if i dont touch anything else. i was kinda shooting for shaving 200lbs off of the car to assure that i get into the 11s.

hopefully before the season ends i get-

my built T56 transmission i know i will pick up at least 1 tenth and a few mph once im able to rip it into 4th gear again!

a tune 1-2 tenths, 1-2 mph gain

LOL, that's funny.

dont forget to go to the bathroom you will shave a tenth of a sec with that. I think with all ac parts gone you shave like 45lbs. There is a certain battery that can shave like 30lbs off. Bring the car to the track with as little fuel as you can every gallon of gas is 8lbs.

WayFast84 11-01-2007 02:13 PM

wow. my care isnt even that bare! lol

98tadriver 11-01-2007 02:48 PM

hahahaahahaha the a/c is out. everything but that part thats all up inside the firewall, im leaving that in. but i just dropped 33.4 more lbs thatll bring the grand total up to 181lbs off since 10-30 lol. lets see now, hmmm door panels are pretty heavy...... and definately not hard to pop off either. anything to hit the 200lb mark by tomorrow. i didnt take my spoiler off either lol

WayFast84 11-01-2007 03:09 PM

speakers and stereo!!!!!!!!! i have all of that stuff out on mine but I have the cargo carpet and door panels. What about your front swaybar?

Good luck Ron!

(btw, you guys are more like Little G versions 2, 3, and 4. His car weighs less than 3k lbs and still has carpet and all interior plastics ;) )
