12.71 in a nearly stock, barely bolt-on car
yep. just when I thought it wouldn't get better, I pulled a 12.71 out of my... somewhere.
I still have cbrrmike's SLP lid, same flowmaster muffler, and I decided to put some 100 octane gas in it, because I was about to run out of gas  60' - 1.841 330 - 5.367 1/8 - 8.210 1/8 mph - 88.62 1000' - 10.644 1/4 - 12.712 1/4 mph - 109.76 I had one more slip that was a 1.83x 60 and 5.32x 330, which would have put me at a 12.67 or so, but I missed 3rd. oops. |

So, is there like some kind of "lid only" record I should be going for here?
|
not with your muffler

Wow, gj >.<

100 octane make any diffrence. They are sweet times on a stock car
|
that's an incredible time for the mods. Nice driving.
|
what kind of tires are you running to get those type of 60 fts?

thats a real nice 60 ft for some street tires. i know people that have trouble nailing those times in m6's with drags on em.

Also has a lot to do with what other cars are running that day. If it's just street tires, no ones gonna hook. If there are a good amount of slick cars there and the starting line is prepped well, you won't be able to spin if you wanted to. That's how the last 3 sat and Sundays have been at island. I was leaving at 4-4500 and could barely keep from bogging down it hooked so nicely. |
driver mod ftw!
|
I ran a 12.856 @ 112 mph with my 02 Z28 with just an SLP Lid.
That's a nasty 60' time with street tires! |
