New Car...

Ok, so pretty soon, I will be in the market for a new car, Im thinking about possibly selling the Camaro, or keeping it as a side project with the TA. Not completely sure what to do with it yet. I had my eye on the new 2010 Camaro 1-SS, but its a lil too pricy and Im not likin the markups that the dealerships are doing. I test drove the new 2010 Mustang GT after my friend bought his, I liked the price, and pretty much everything else about it. I was thinking about a used Cadillac CTS-V, like 06 or 07. The most I am willing to spend is about $30,000. If you guys have any suggestions, feel free to chime in.

Keep one project because 2 never work out unless ur stanky rich. I would get the mustang gt but it would have to be a five speed.

CamaroJoe1987 06-26-2009 02:42 AM

of coarse it would, the clutch on that thing is like butter, so oft, and it just glides into gear

NastyEllEssWon 06-26-2009 02:43 AM

mustang gt only if it has the track pack option

I am looking at the Base GT, not looking to go crazy with it if I do get it, I only want the rear axle package

Crayface 06-26-2009 05:37 AM

CTS-V! i wouldnt buy a ford, i would only drive one if it was given to me for free

that brings it to the price of a 1-ss lol

NastyEllEssWon 06-26-2009 10:05 AM

no it doesnt. it brings the price 1500 more. its like 30k even for a track pack gt. there are people on here seeing v6 2lt camaro's for 40k :rofl:

LuvMyF8LWS6 06-26-2009 10:26 AM

yea, on the computer, hey are doing crazy markups for no reason though, buyin the mustang, im looking at tax, and im lookin at $2000 in interest in financing, i was quoted in the low to mid 20's from paramus for exactly wat i want in it

98Gsxr750 06-26-2009 02:22 PM

go with the mustang gt.

misterjuice 06-26-2009 03:16 PM

G8 GT???

Frosty 06-26-2009 03:57 PM

If you like the looks of the GT go for it...however the performance is putrid compared to other vehicles in that price range. I'd spring for a V6 Camaro or a G8 GT before even thinking of a Mustang GT...slooooooow garbage.

ya i was just using the #'s from car and driver, the gt w/ track pack was a couple hundred more than a m6 1ss....but your right mark ups are crazy, its like they are only making 1000 of them or something lol

CamaroJoe1987 06-26-2009 04:23 PM

I like the looks of the G8 GT, but i dont know the performance because the dealership I went to didnt even have one available for a test drive, so i dont even know the performance, I do like the style of the new mustang, better than the last, and it feels rock solid, it sounds great, like i said before, the clutch feels good, and it glides into gear. the used CTS-V i was looking at is 21,000 its black on black, the used dealer i went to wouldnt let me test drive for "insurance" reasons. so idk about that, the musang is honestly looking like a legit car

FIcamaroRE92 06-26-2009 05:21 PM

what about the challenger? I know I posted the GT before but this just came to mind.

I wasn't really considering that, I dont know really anything about it, i dont know how much they are goin for, and they look pretty damn big for a 2 door

BurninrubberGT 06-26-2009 10:19 PM

challenger is the most expensive
its the heaviest
and slow for what it is, it barely beats the mustang in the qtr

mc73nova 06-26-2009 10:21 PM

CTS-V!!

BurninrubberGT 06-26-2009 10:44 PM

what you could do is buy a used g8 with <10k on the clock for like 24/25...then buy the full kooks system/tune/intake and bam 12 second dd for under 30k...but if you want a stick then disregard this post lol
