Well.. your saying we should try all the soldiers whom ever killed someone in the line of duty?

EODMonkey 11-26-2009 10:56 PM

i agree, seals dont usually have their names released, and wtf is this country coming to when they actually consider doing this to people doing their damn job. it makes me absolutely sick. political bs. any good non-extradition countries?

Z28 Heritage 11-26-2009 11:06 PM

madness410 11-26-2009 11:29 PM

ridiculous..

where are all these terrorists getting rights from

NastyEllEssWon 11-26-2009 11:33 PM

good for em....no ones above the law. i hope they nail the seals to the wall and throw the book at em, dishonorable discharge and 10 years later pushing a shopping cart in the street full of garbage.

there are such things as war crimes fella....we hold ourselves to a higher standard than the enemy...or supposed to.

LTb1ow 11-26-2009 11:35 PM

And oh boy, the neighborhood panzy showed up!

Navy SEALs have secretly captured one of the most wanted terrorists in Iraq — the alleged mastermind of the murder and mutilation of four Blackwater USA security guards in Fallujah in 2004.

BigAls87Z28 11-26-2009 11:39 PM

I agree to a point with Nasty. This is just like a cop popping someone in the mouth while in handcuffs.
Difference is, the Blue Shield will keep them from any jail time.

In reality...should have just killed him and just report it on TV. Saved thema lot of time and aggrivation.
I dont understand why Fox would publish the names? WTF is that about?

madness410 11-26-2009 11:57 PM

i honestly dont get how you guys can think that way. i can understand if they tied him up, locked him in a room and tortured him for three weeks or something but a 'punch to the gut'?

people get punched all the time the most theyll get is an assault charge and its usually over nothing..but you want these guys who served our country, put their lives on the line everyday for OUR freedom, went through extensive military training, all just for punching the mastermind behind murdering and mutilating four other usa security guards in iraq.

that and do you really think there hasnt been any worse done over there?

BigAls87Z28 11-27-2009 12:07 AM

If he was asaulted while in custody, which I can only assume he was since this would be a non-issue, then its against the rules of war.

There are rules, and as long as we signed the document, we must follow them.
They will continue to use this against us as long as we follow the rules. Wouldnt be the first time that US troops were tied up over the rules of war.
If he was punched while in a fight, then its a non issue.
If he was assaulted in any way durring his capture where he gave up and surrendured willingly, then we ****ed up and now he will go free.
OJ didnt get sent free because they couldnt find evidence he did it...

NastyEllEssWon 11-27-2009 12:21 AM

thats the price you pay when you DECLARE war. we signed the document to follow a set guidelines of rules for warfare...since we wanted to go to war with them we agreed to play by the rules. since theyre defending themselves against US and have never signed any war documents they dont have to play by the rules.

its all apart of trying to be civilized when resorting to such a primitive form of persuasion.....aka war. its just so we dont get sent back to the dark ages and have another thousand years of human regression.

remember...we attacked them. (dont give me 911 cause that wasnt IRAQ)

BigAls87Z28 11-27-2009 12:52 AM

Ugh..I hate it when I cant argue with Nasty.

some of you make me sick. i'd personally love to shake each one of their hands and thank them.

transmaro93 11-27-2009 10:40 AM

im not even going to comment on the ridiculousness of this thread. Iv said it before, the cival rights movement was a huge step forward for the American people, but in the last 20 or so years its just gotten out of hand with the political correctness. To the fact that we are going to try terrorists in civilian court and now this. Just ridiculous.

jts98z28 11-27-2009 10:59 AM

this is bs...theres a big difference in a cop punching a civilian and a navy seal punching one of the most wanted terrorists....imo that piece of **** is lucky to still be alive and able to move

does anyone know the meaning of the bold word??? like said before...to be eligible to go into another country with destructive force you have to agree to play by the standards of war. if we resort to their tactics does that make us any better than they?

BigAls87Z28 11-27-2009 11:57 AM

Im not saying that I dont agree with what they did.
But like I said, there are rules, and we have to follow those rules. It has nothing to do with civil rights, it has to do with the Rules of War.

We are not trying the terrorists in a civilan court because of "civil rights", but because they comited a crime of murder.
I dont agree with that either. They should be tried as War Criminals, in front of the Hauge, and be done with it. But since they are not an army, but just a bunch of loons, they are like any other loons that would kill a large group of people.
Its not like they are gunna get any special treatment. If anything, the are more ****ed by being tried in NYC then if they were to be tried somewhere else.

If we start to break the rules, if we start to fight outside of the rules of engagement, then we have broken the law, and we can be brought up on war crimes. American troops can be brought to justice, and just like the terrorists that flew planes into the towers and pentagon, they could be hung for something like this.
Just because its us doesnt make it automaticly "good" in what we do.
If we decide to disreguard rules that we expect people to follow when we are at war with them, how does it look if we go ahead and step outside the lines then?
Then WE become terrorists. WE become the bad guys. WE are the ones in the wrong.
I understand fustration, no doubt, but the rules of war are still rules, and they must be followed or you will be in a world of ****. End of story.

WildBillyT 11-27-2009 12:06 PM

Charge them with assualt. That's it. It's a punch, not a sawzall across the chest or a hand into a meat slicer.

Blacdout96 11-27-2009 12:12 PM

But Congress never declared war, so really....this isnt a war.

BigAls87Z28 11-27-2009 12:12 PM

They will be charged with assault of suspect in custody. And thats a courtmarshal.
It sucks, but we have send thousands upon thousands of men to protect the rights of American and the right to freedom everywhere in the world.

Again...they should have killed him. Would have been hero's in a way.
Or since he killed Blackwater guys, maybe they should have dumped them off in thier hands...Blackwater has no rules or civil rights. Its a private enterprize with no oversight. Merc's....
