Say Goodbye...

To the 1972 Camaro. Guy came this morning to look it over, and will be coming to pick it up either tomorrow or Tuesday.

good bye 72!

how upset are you about getting rid of it. or not really?

1/2 of me wants to get rid of my car 1/2 of me don't

I think Im still in shock a bit since its a pretty quick sale. Guy seemed like a real cool dude, owns a body shop some where in PA and has been looking for a RS car for a while. He had to sell his 15 years ago to help buy his house. Im glad that its going to a good home, and someone that can really do the stuff it needs to make it perfect.
Im happy but I know its a piece of my family that I have sold, so it hurts in that aspect. With both my father and mother moving probably in the next year, trying to find housing for the car was gunna be rough. Its gunna be hard to just get the 87 a place to live while I do the swap.
Oh well...I took it for a ride yesterday, and it drove so nice. Started right up today first thing at 730am.
Off to the bank to deposit the money, and then off to my little brothers lacrosse game.

Saw it in person once nice car. Time for something else with a corvette engine

I miss quite a few of my old cars but the sale always ends up leading to the next one so it works out well. It's gonna be tough selling the 2000 SS especially with only 56K miles on it, but the money pit is calling!

Awwwwwey.

At least it's going to a good home man.

You're welcome. Would you like a tissue for those crocodile tears of your?

BonzoHansen 05-15-2010 09:40 PM

Al's just jealous because he can't install a distributor right.

BigAls87Z28 05-15-2010 10:03 PM

Sorry, I forgot you were perfect.

BonzoHansen 05-15-2010 10:04 PM

bubba428 05-16-2010 06:46 AM

at least I didn't buy it

T69SS 05-17-2010 07:35 PM

Thats a shame, but as said, at least its going to a good home.

WildBillyT 05-17-2010 09:06 PM

I hope they keep it the same color. Looks good and is more unique than every red or black SS or Z28 out there.

Sucks to see it go I guess, but you can focus on the 87 now. Good stuff.

BigAls87Z28 05-17-2010 09:15 PM

Thanks guys. Guy was gunna drive it home, but he is getting really busy so there will be a flat bed at my house come noon tuesday.

LTb1ow 05-17-2010 09:25 PM

Can I come take pics?

And advise him to swap an LT1 in it? :)

BigAls87Z28 05-17-2010 10:07 PM

He was thinking about it...he has both an LS1 and LT1 set up.
