don't judge me

so i had the rare oppurtunity today to drive a 07 Z06. now i know most (not all) corvette guys think they are on another level then us. but i have to say it was the fastest, most comfortable, and smooth (i mean gear shifting), gripped the road like glue and is probobly the best car ive ever driven in stock form. the power is rediculous. i almost fell in love, but reality set in that i can't afford one of these. now im a pretty big guy and besides the fact that my hat got in the way getting out i had plenty of room. maybe one day i will have a chance to own a vette to park next to my 4th gen. but it was still a very fun experience to say the least. it had been a very long time since i drove something that got my adrenaline running

If I ever buy another sports/muscle car it will be a Corvette. Doesn't need to be a Z06. I'd be perfectly happy with the base coupe with the LS3.

Blacdout96 05-20-2010 09:57 AM

I don't like the ZR1, the ONLY Vette I like is the Z06, period.

maroman88 05-20-2010 10:00 AM

why do u think i bought one? my love is fbody's, but holy crap wat another world it is driving a vette, even my c5 with base suspension, its so much more refined

Z28 Heritage 05-20-2010 10:48 AM

I'd only take this Vette.

so a black z06 with black rims, and tints. lol

but to OP for a 70k+ car it better handle like that and have that power lol. i drive my brothers vette around sometimes, a 96 lt4 and it drives really well, much better than any fbody ive driven. not to mention how much attention you get from people on the road

Frosty 05-20-2010 11:46 AM

Why would anyone judge you? There's a reason a Corvette costs more than a Fbody and there's a reason the car is better in just every area too. ;)

That looks like crap. Looks like an unfinished paint job. I hope this isn't a new "thing".

oh i would take a base....i would take a LS1 vette even....not a fan of LTX vettes. if the price was right id even take one with some damage on it and fix it up as long as it was cosmetic only

Matte black "thing"/"fad" has been around for a while, it hasn't REALLY caught on, but you can still spot some examples of it..

redsoxsstink 05-20-2010 08:22 PM

i drove a firetruck red c6 convertible. now i know what your thinking what kinda self respecting man would get caught in a red vette. well this thing was saaawwweeeeetttt chirpped 2 into3 and i wasnt on it full. what a blast. just showed me another reason i need to get a vette when i hit it big

V 05-20-2010 08:37 PM

Hell... after driving my V, i lost almost all interest in F-bodies.

More specifically, I was talking about modern cars, not 30's-50's stuff.

BigAls87Z28 05-20-2010 10:33 PM

Oh boy, a fat cat fish...

Z06 is a sexy car, and its even better when it got the ZR1's brakes/wheels/suspension/aero package for the new Carbon edition. Id put a Z06C vs a ZR1 any day.

I've seen it on new MB's, SLR included, 350z's, and plenty of Audi's

and it looks like ass on those cars too.

Never said it didn't, I just pointed out that it's not only on "30-50 stuff".
