went and got collector registration and headed to the inspection station to get my sticker

so in short, i can finally drive the car again whenever i want :)

Collector inspection = FTW. Just don't miss the month you are due for inspection or I heard they can revoke it.

got letter from gm w/ my vin and they put how many were made in that model year

yeah i wont forget to do that :)

how did you go about talking with gm b/c i was looking into doing this if it was possible

call gm customer service and give them your vin and tell them you want a letter stating that the car is no longer made

i do, havent been posting much since not being able to drive the car lol. it has been out of inspection for a year and needed to go this route lol

I was a year late and they still gave it to me no problems. its good for two years too; i wasnt penalized. I got mine before they changed it so im good :)

they only check emissions now anyway, as long as you have no CEL you pass for 96+

edit: unless your GVW is 8500+ lbs like my truck, then you get the sniffer

do they verify by looking at the door label, or just go by whats on the registration??

3K miles a yr for the state. but i dont have alimit from the ins co.
