iOS vs Droid vs WM7
ok so i dropped my blackberry in the toilet on halloween and ended up buying an iphone 3g off my buddy who upgraded to the iphone 4 and i just want to say I WOULD NEVER GO BACK TO BLACKBERRY.
i can do everything on this phone and its only the 3g. I count down the days till i upgrade to iphone 4 also, not so thrilled with the droid os but i havent had a lot of hands on with it. and WM7 doesnt seem to be too much of a competitor either. what do you guys have?/want? and like?/dislike? |
I can tell you that the Blackberry storm is a hopeless piece of ****. And I have a pile of them on my desk to prove it.
|
i have an android phone and I really like all the apps. My friend just got a WM7 phone and so far it looks pretty good. Still too new to make a real opinion on it.

Droid X here on Verizon. I love the phone and I have had the chance to mess around with the iPhone 4 and they're pretty comparable. Main advantages of the droid that I see over the iPhone is that its not proprietary software, meaning anyone can develop apps which give it a wide variety. Also you do not have to sync the phone with anything. I have heard some hooror stories of the lengthy updates and itunes erasing the data on the iphone. I havent used a win7 phone yet so I couldnt say anything about that. and Blackberrys are pure crap as said before. They used to be useful because of theyre exchange email service but since android OS does it they are slowly being replaced.

and yeah i get my emails just the same on my iphone... soo blackberry fail. |
One other thing. If you break your Iphone your pretty much boned. You can have insurance on android hones lol. 6 bucks a month with a 50 dollar deductible, but it could potentially save you a couple hundred if you were to lets say,..........drop it in a toilet

You are right about the iphone tho and no ins. im still looking into getting one. IMO i like the OS the best. mom has a storm 2 and its a POS, my friends have the curve its ok minimal troubles. I have used the android its not bad, would have been my choice if there was no iphone. |
If my life wasn't littered in iPhone accessories, I would switch to verizon and get a droid.

i have no interest in a 'smart' phone.... my pos calls and texts just fine, and i sit at a computer for work all day... id get a blackberry... but an additional like 35 bucks a month so i can bbm and go on facebook MORE often isnt really needed

Way I look at it is Droid and Apple are the only choices. BB 6.0 is not nearly the step it needed to be to fight off the onslaught, and WinMo7 will be slow and laggy.
I love my X. Coming from the Storm, its like picking up a piece of alien technology. The apps are endless, most are free, with customization to make your phone your own. I will say that Apple has executed the design very well, compared to the rubberized Droid X, but samsung has some really sharp android phones. |
i have the HTC G2 and i love it. it has the android os and i have no complaints. especially with t-mobile if anything happens i just walk into the store and they hand me a new one no questions asked i love it and my bill is half the price of verizon and at&t. so android all the way
|
I have the HTC Eris. I love it. Only problem I have had is they didnt do an Android 2.2 update for them. So I just installed a custom 2.2 ROM. I like how you can customize the phone as you see fit and all of the apps. Im addicted to some of the games.

Problem with the iPhone is AT&T. I will never, ever, ever switch unless AT&T fixes their stuff.
