2011 Chrysler 300

Here she is, all new inside and out

New 3.6 V6 and upgraded Hemi's.

WildBillyT 12-21-2010 08:03 AM

Much, much nicer.

maroman88 12-21-2010 09:29 AM

did they get permission from audi to use that front end?

LS1Hawk 12-21-2010 09:31 AM

On the passenger side by the fog light there looks like what appears to be another space for another fog light. Is there anything there and what's it for?

http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog....-300-press.jpg

Also, I think the interior is really nice

The interior's decent; somewhat entry-level Lincoln-esque, which I guess is just fine for a 300.

Something about the new exterior design--mostly in the front end--isn't sitting right with me for some reason.

Hey Al, do you know of any power or weight numbers for the SRT models?

JW 12-21-2010 10:35 AM

Yea I am curious on what the performance of this car will be.

JW :D

if you have big hands watch out when putting it in park, you might get stuck.

hmm, interesting. adaptive cruise control? forward looking infrared maybe? nightvision? accident detection? all possible.

Reminds of a Hyundai before anything else...

I agree. It won't work with the way the hood and front fascia are currently designed, but I always wanted to see them go back to having the grille facing up like they did on the late '50s models. Definitely not as big, but a modern version of this would probably give it more of an American look, rather than looking like an Audi with a Sonata grille.

lol, I was thinking the same thing.

Might be cooling ducts. Brake cooling ducts are becoming a standard thing.
Or it could be like the E class with the dual fog lights.

That interior shot makes the car looks like its sinking into a lake.

Boats are usually found on bodies of water, maybe thats what they are trying convey.

That is one ugly boat. Do not want.

BigAls87Z28 12-21-2010 12:05 PM

As for power, expect 300hp from the V6, 390hp from the 5.7, and we should see the new 6.4 making 450-460.

Anti_Rice_Guy 12-21-2010 12:57 PM

Looks like a mix between a recent Sebring, Audi, and Hyundai. Styling fail.

Wood grain looks cheesy, and that shifter looks like a pain in reverse/park

It's only on the passenger side, and it looks like there is a bulb or some type of lens in there.

That says it all in my book.

BonzoHansen 12-21-2010 03:35 PM

now it looks like a 2001 russian staff car instead of a 1978 staff car. kudos on almost catching up. that also explains the extra hole - machine guns.

the wood around the steering wheel looks like a steering wheel cover. nice touch. is this the pep boys edition?

Scrat's_Camaro 12-21-2010 04:16 PM

is every car gonna start coming out with those led's around the headlights now?

wretched73 12-21-2010 04:20 PM

Another dud car that will push Chrysler into further economic peril

supposedly its the adaptive cruise control sensor.

coolmanvette75 12-21-2010 06:05 PM

do not like. reminds me too much of other manufactures, not chrysler. also not a fan of the new chrysler emblem. looks like a stretched-out aston martin emblem imo.

LS1Hawk 12-21-2010 07:58 PM

From the B-pillar back it has a CTS look
