Road Debris hit the Camaro
Traveling south on 287 with some traffic at about 60-70mph had a large piece of metal about the size of a 2x4 was shot out from underneath a honda accord in front of me and slammed against my front fender and must have spun and hit my passenger side rocker.
time to call insurance Wish people would secure there **** ! http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f3...170840_482.jpg http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f3...191252_482.jpg http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f3...170917_911.jpg http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f3...191436_536.jpg Here is a before shot lol http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f3...o/P6190302.jpg |
you have a nice clean camaro that sucks that it got damaged
Ouch! Sucks that happened to you.

That's a lot worse than you described!!! Luckily you're looking at it positively, which is the right thing to do.
sucks. i punched some cooling lines under the wife's pilot a few years ago on rt 1, a damn a piece of wood.
I thought I described it pretty well on the phone 1/2 the right side of front bumper is gone. lol
Yea, not to bummed since it will fix a few minor imperfections that some people may call me crazy for. Forgot to mention the front gfx piece is completely MIA. If it wasn't for that peice and the rocker I wouldn't go through insurance but those two pieces alone are pricey new. Appreciate the compliments was hoping to have it at the Jan. meet. It could have been alotttttt worse. Would have went right through the hood or windshielf if it was high enough. When the car in front of me ran it over it sounded like my tires blew out. |
Any body know where I can find the ground effects rocker panel and front ground effect spoiler for just the right side????
Ouch dude, that's tough to look at. You are going to have to hunt for those pieces I'm sure. Hope you get it back together quickly.
Already on it
I'm pretty sure you can get them from GM but they are a pretty penny. Priced them back in 2008 just trying to find online right now. |
Damn that sucks. Loved how this car looked. Wasn't the paint a little messed on on the front bumper anyway? Guess if there is a positive to this is that the front bumper will have fresh paint...
When you saw it was but I had another bumper repainted then paint protection applied. But still had a minor imperfection which stopped me from having the guy wrap the clear bra around the bumper to hide the seem
But now it will fit perfect and hopefully have good paint to get flawless paint protection again. Fixes a few small issues but it is gonna cost me my deductible still |
OUCH, and I thought I was having a bad day.. But if you look at it this way, at least it's all cosmetic and didn't ruin a header, y pipe, drive shaft or oil pan.

Anthony, I have the front gfx piece($75).
Last week I just sold off the side skirts though. I'll also give you any splash-guards you need for free. |
all insurance though and being the object was flying as it hit the car should be comprehensive not collision. I'm hoping at least.
Blown engine would have just led to completion of the 370 sooner. But I agree could have been worse in many many ways Thanks Paul. I am going to quality on 303 Monday. I'll see what happens/what they say and let you know. Might have to jump on that though. Think only the r/f inner fender if they are OK with that. But again I'll see how they want to deal with it. Appreciate the offer! |
that sucks! butttt atleast its just cosmetic and our cars are mostly plastic lol
Ouch that sucks. Hope it gets fixed soon.
It'll probably buff out
Sucks man.
Got good news from the insurance company. Deductible is only 100$ and considered comprehensive instead of collision so no fault no increase in insurance.
Bringing the car to the adjuster tomorrow. Going to the shop monday. |
That's great news, Ant!
Great news.
my bumper ! :(
I know ! First thing I thought was how is Mickey gonna take it
That's awesome news!
