haha i drove in snow tonite for the first time. wasnt bad. my dad was impressed that i didnt get scared at all. but then again there wasnt really anything to be scared about. he says even he jumped when he thought we were sliding around this turn... i felt it. but it was undercontrol. either way. im sure were going to have school 2moro. but it would be nice.... but reality must set in... either way when i got outta the car... i put one foot on the ground and slid under the door... it was pretty painful. but luckly i caught the door before i landed completelly on my back.
|
maybe I'll get the day off tomorrow :)
|
Had many first tonight.
1. Pumped my own gas 2. Longest trip home while it was snowing 3. First time driving stick in the snow 3. First dougnut in the camaro in an abandoned parking lot. weee! But I still hate snow, its no fun to drive in seriously, but when you just want to go to the lot down the road to **** around its fun. |

I spent my first winter with a car in Rochester NY with a 69 Camaro conv. It actually wasn't bad at all. They know how to plow in upstate NY. I never came close to getting stuck. I just spent 6-1/2 hours Saturday converting the 4Runner from auto locking hubs over to manual hubs which are much better. You can shift into 4 wheel drive on the fly at 50 mph if you want with the manual hubs as long as you lock them ahead of time. With the auto hubs, you have to come to a complete stop before putting it into 4 wd. Now that I sold the SS454 pickup and have 4wd, we won't get much snow this winter.
|
I love the snow. We got some light snow down here, didn't stick to the roads but we have some random ice patches here and there. I was kinda hoping I'd get to use 4wd.

You call this snow? BAH, it hasn't coated the ground yet. If I can't make a snowman then snow is bad. Especially when you need to finish putting stuff on your car that requires a hammer (can't feel fingers getting smashed).
I did have a fun time last night testing the different kinds of traction control and anti-lock brakes on the 2 new cars we have. I must say, the volvo s80 is 10 times more fun since you can turn OFF the stc and torque management. The damn stc grabs the brakes all over the place, it's worse than your normal torque steer... it almost pulled me into the other lane! |

The roads are WHITE!! AND THEIRS NO SNOW!
My car is WHITE!!! AND ITS NOT SNOW!:evil::evil: I HATE SALT |

yeha, now that theres salt on the roads.... my camaro's officially in hibernation mode for the winter
|
if they would just plow the roads the right way, there would be no need for salt. Just plow it really well and throw down some of that gritty stuff, ah whats it called......SAND, thats it! throw some of that down and everything will be gravy. well, not literally but you get the point.
